Garden Chamber

by guckstift - Jam Entry

Here you are in your garden room. But beware! The walls are getting closer. Plant & garden to resist this and to expand your garden room!

✓ Water your plants!
✓ Grow them up!
✓ Unlock new plants!

Pan around with the right mouse button and dragging.

Plant and water your plants: Just click the water button and CLICK & DRAG over your garden.

* 15 grown up plants of the last species unlocks you a new species
* Each grow-stage of a plant is more robust than the last one
* Each new species has one additional grow-stage
=> a fully grown up tree will almost last forever without watering

Crazy flying cats, neat gardening game. It was hard to understand the difference between plants. The first time I just planted all of one type and didn't know what else to do.

I like the mood of the game, is so relaxing :).. And I love the pink birds sound "Piiii pi pii pii" xDD

Nice mood, and great variety of plants. The game started to lag after a bit of playing, sadly.

Hi guckstift! So, about my game, yeah.. divs all around lmao! Still need to work on my html5 skills, they're pretty poor right now so I sticked to good old divs for this game xD. Feel free to take a look at the code for some inspiration if you want :)

Hey bro! I really like what you created this time around, it's a very relaxing game with great graphics and amazing audio! Also, the take on the theme is very creative. The game does slow down substantially though the longer you play, so you might want to look into that again.
Anyway, it's an awesome game and I had a great time jamming with you and Maria. Looking forward to the next LD together with you beautiful people! :)

I could not get anything to grow and the cats were distracting. It would have been great if I could have zoomed in, it was very small to play as well. thanks for creating the game.

Hello @ all. Thanks alot so far for your reviews. I know there are some serious performance issues in this game its source I couldnt figure out so far :( But at least I will limit the count of animals when I have time so that the screen doesn't overcrowd that fast.

There is a good chance no lags will appear when played in the iframe of this page.

@sP0CkEr2: If you would've tested my game for just more than 10 seconds you'd probably notice the "watering" button in the upper left corner. ;) The cats are awesome! Deal with it! Also: try your browsers native zoom function which works just fine with this game.

Interesting concept! I was skeptical about the flying cats at first but I found them to be endearing after a little while. I managed to get out of the room and make the sky bright again. =P I didn't really understand when the next layer of walls would disappear, but I just kept watering and waiting. There were some performance issues on Firefox. I had to switch to Chrome.

Nice moody piano fits the calm of tending plants. Although before I figured out how to water by reading the instructions I was playing an altogether less relaxing game! ;)

Nice work.
