Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

UPDATE 15/12/16: We've added a Web build and fixed some gamebreaking bugs (like the infinite game over loop). Please be patient, the Web build takes some time to load (it's 40mb). We do recommend playing in the Windows build, it is A LOT more stable (and prettier).


You wake up in your room, but not your regular room.
Find all energies in order to escape through the door!
You might feel that you've played a similar old game before.

Move with WSAD or arrow keys. Shift to sprint, space to jump.
When you get all 50 energies, find the door and press E to open it!


- Original 3D models and structures, made from scratch.
- Textures were downloaded (royalty free) and then mixed/adjusted to our liking.
- Power up and atmosphere soundtracks are original, actually recorded.

I can see was you're going for but there are a couple minor issues I have with it. I think there are too many ghosts and that the ghosts are too small. I was able to walk around any ghost that was in front of me. Also it's hard to be scared of something that moves at a slow walking pace when you can sprint at full speed unlimited. However I do think you did well with the atmosphere of the place! Maybe a bit to dark but eh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This has potential. I like the creepy feel to the game. The ghosts seem to come out and kill me without warning though. Nice effects and sound.

Horror is a really great choice with the theme. You did well on making this game to have scary, creepy-ish feeling!

I've played a few first person pac-man before but this is probably the most enjoyable one. Everything feels quite polished except for the ending landscape. Nice work!

Thanks for the comments everyone! Some things aren't as polished as we wanted them to be due to the time we had to make the game.

Also, @BUNN1E5, we wanted to make a Stamina bar and give a more complex AI and animation for the monsters, but again, not enough time. Perhaps next time we'll be able to do it faster :)

There are only 4 monsters, but they respawn after a while once you kill them.

The graphics were excellent. I love how trippy the edges of the screen look when you look closely. The gameplay was a bit easy, as the ghosts were easily avoidable. Also, the "Kill Them All" powerup was kinda hard to look at. May want to put a seizure warning there. Mood and audio was spot on, as the others have said.

I love love love this. I was laughing so hard (in a good way) at every step. There's that first moment you realize it's pacman (i didn't catch it in the name initially) which is such an amazing WOW moment.

A 3D pacman made in 72 hours! Nicely done man! :)

The only thing that made me upset was when I gathered 3 ghosts to follow me to a powerup and I ended up hearing a Game Over sound after killing them with the power up on and then when a ghost caught me he has got in an infinite game over loop :D
The "Kill Them All" text should disappear after a while when having a powerup though :D

I really love the sound effects! And the chromatic effect aswell! The game scared me two times, the first time I ran into a ghost and the first time I picked a 'Kill them all' bonus ! =)
Nice idea to make a First person Pac-man!!

Quite fun, I was able to beat it my first time through by running the whole time. The "Kill em all" sections were a bit seasure enducing though. Also, not sure if it fits the theme all that well. Still, I did enjoy it.

I really liked this re-imagining of a classic game. The first time I played I didn't know what the "You might feel that you've played a similar old game before. " reference was about as I spent a few moments exploring the initial room and inspecting the painting on the wall when I was jumped by a ghost. Second time around I chuckled when I started getting the energy pellets and hit my first power pill I realized I was playing Pac-Man. The mood really changes once the hunted becomes the hunter :P.

So lets break it down... I liked the graphics and they gave me the "Evil Dead" movie vibe of being stranded in a haunted cabin. Most the models seemed adhere to the creepy cabin theme with exception to the power pill which just kinda jumped out to me as being out of place. I felt the game could of benefited by having a mini map or compass as the dark setting without many different textures makes it difficult to know where you have been or where to go. Perhaps the the lack of these type of helpers where omitted to compound the claustrophobic feel of traversing dark hallways, if that were the case I wold suggest adding a few more art pieces to the walls to give the player a sense of where they are.

I see what you did there. But this is by far the most moody game Ive played so far, omg their eyes, I had shivers down my spine when I ran past one of them, freaky. Nothing happened when I collected all the energies though

Ha! Ok. I have to admit it took me a moment to figure it out (which I like, rather than being bashed over the head with the reference). It's a little hard for me, especially with the lighting. I had to crank up my brightness, and even then I had to strain a bit (that said, I'm old).

Wow that was a great one. Loved the mix between horror and "Kill them all!!" phase. The mood is especially top notch thanks to polished sound design. The first jumpscare I encountered scared the hell out of me ^^

Very creepy, nice use of mood. It was quite hard to see on my laptop screen but that was probably the point!

More variety of enemies might have helped, as well as reducing the difficulty right at the beginning (i died almost right away first time round). Good entry!

Hah, at first I didn't understand that this was pacman. Great idea! Although it's pretty bad that I could pretty much dodge all the ghosts while sprinting all the time. Also the game was a bit too dark for my taste. Anyway, good work!

I thought that this was going to be a horror game and than I realized that I'm a massive pac-man! Was actually quite fun. Playing the game in first person, rather than a top down perspective changes the gameplay a lot.
