S.S.S.S.S.A.S (Secret Spy Society for Schooling in Spy Associated Subjects)

by Leroyii - Jam Entry

The best spies in the world have all been invited to a very special showdown at the spectacular, but small, suite of the Secret Spy Society for Schooling in Spy Associated Subjects (or S.S.S.S.S.A.S. for short).

The goal of the showdown is simple: Rack up the most super spy points and claim the title of the greatest spy in the world.

S.S.S.S.S.A.S. is a party game for 5-14 players about being in a cramped room and saying words to other spies, and remembering what words were said to you without being overheard by other spies.

Interesting concept, and a completely different take on the competition than I've ever seen. From a boardgame perspective, the rules seem a little complex, and the scoring a little hard to implement, but I haven't tried it, and I can imagine it would be fun with a bunch of willing participants who had it explained to them. Very interesting entry.

I really like the idea of this. It's really cool to see something so different, awesome job!

Interesting party game, thanks. It's the irst non-videogame entry I had seen in this LD.

I love non-digital games made during game jams.

Super interesting way to realize this game. It seems like a game all about remembering information--so it's possible the rules need to be so complicated on purpose. I'd be interested to see if there are ways to simplify the rules, which might make it easier for players to develop their own strategies.

Love seeing non-digital games, unfortunately not enough people around right now to try it out. I will say reading the rules, it seems it might be complicated, at least for the judge

Non-digital memory game. I think there can by some upgrades (take words from some word database, trying to group similar words/commonly unknown words)
