Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
Changes in v1.0.1: (no content or gameplay was changed)
- Fixed a platform-dependent Unity build issue which broke seamless audio looping and cut off the first part of all audio files =(
- Fixed a slight lag hiccup in the intro sequence.
- Added the version number of the game in the UI.
48 hours. One Room. One Game.
Welcome to Ludum Dare: The Game! You are tasked with the near-impossible task of creating an entire game in just 48 hours! Write code, draw art, eat frozen pizza, and for the love of god, don't drink too much coffee!
Note: Game may take some time to load! If you just see a black screen, be patient!

Once again, I really love your music. Great work! The game itself almost felt like the real thing, very cool. I got a 53 on my first try. I'll play some more later :)
Music was fantastic as usual. It was really fun too, and I loved the humor in the game.
Only one word comes to mind while I was playing this game... AMAZING! The only addition I would have added would have been how long each of the events take. To be honest it's not something that is critical, and not having it doesn't take away from the game it would be just a "nice to have" feature. Really enjoyed the music and the art was really nice too. Great job!
Amazing as always. Very realistic. Spent all my time making a feature rich game and got slammed on art and audio. Well done!
Hehe, I dig this. Turns out, I'm a lot more successful at making MMORTSRPGs than I am a rhythm game. Who knew!
Overall, this is a very solid entry for 48 hours, with a lot of replay value. I love the random names, the choices the game lets you pick when developing your LD entry, etc. Clearly you have had enough experience doing Ludum Dare that you were able to capture the appropriate humourous moments. :P
Definitely this could be expanded in a postjam; more choices and even have at the end of the game, a description based on the choices you are given when making art, etc. hehe that would be nice. Music's great as always. The chiptune definitely works to your advantage here.

I always look forward to playing (and hearing) your entries. Really solid stuff as usual. ;D
The way the avatar says they need to do something fun for motivation is a little misleading though. The ways to gain it make sense, but it would be nice to have a watch videos or a check out another LD-er's stream option.
Maybe even a Jam mode as well!
Made an MMORTSRPG on my first try! 10/10 accurate depiction of Ludum.
Amazing game on all levels, I had thought of doing something similar as well. The execution was perfect. Loved the audio and the graphics. Can't believe you did this in 48h, such an awesome entry!
I love time managements game. This one, considering it's a 48 hour game, feels very polished. The music is very good too. Good job! Also, it reminded me of my week-end! I really enjoyed it.
Amazing.. just amazing! "My ears are in heaven" and "it's fantastic how you manage to code this inl ess than 48h" :D
It's just perfect in every way, well done once again!
I've done 52 on my 1st attempt and then 63 ^^
This game is not realistic : my game did not have bugs ! Pffff... I'll give an overall 5 only !
Great game with a beautiful aesthetic and a fun mood. You created that in 72 hours - it is just amazing. Well done ++
Cool game, well polished and good "narration".
My rythm game "Tabla raver" was boring and draw by a five years old kid but got 86 overall!
Good thinking making a clicky game. Good graphics, good art and sound and its pretty close to the actual LD experience. Nice!
This was fantastic. Audio and music are great and fit perfectly, the gameplay was really enjoyable (and pretty closely matches with my LD experience), and it seems pretty replayable. Love it!
Clever game, lots of funny and realistic moments (LD website crash). Has a replayability value as well.
Yay I made a rhythm game! :D Gameplay was pretty straightforward but it worked and was surprisingly fun - got 69 on a rhythm game and 97 on an arcade game. I loved the site crashing too, that was a nice touch. The music and sound were great as well. I can't imagine how meta it must have been for you to manage your time while making a time management game :P Great work!
Now I'm not sure if I need to go through and get scores on the game I made as I successfully completed an MMORTSRPG.
The game itself is well done, especially the audio. The little popup events were a good addition to the game to break up the periods of waiting and you really did well invoking the feeling of a Ludum Dare, especially the theme selection part!
Haha, really cute and accurate game. Well, except for being able to make a completely bug-free platformer from the start. (I probably got really luck with the RNG...)
Jokes aside, I really liked this game. I missed your usual "9-bit" songs on your previous entry, I'm really glad to see them back. Don't get me wrong, that entry had pretty good songs, but there's something else to be said about your trademark chiptune sounds.
The realistic SFXs were a really funny choice and worked well with the game.
Wait. What? You did this in 48 hours?
The concept is simple, but SO WELL EXECUTED. I've seen (and even tried once!) to do managing game jam games for game jams, but I've never actually seen/played one that was FUN to play!
You did very good, it was so much fun and actually very realistic. :D
Also, the music is fantastic. Congrats!
I thought it was going to be a one-off joke, but you managed to create a really deep experience for such a short time frame. Really great usage of theme, fantastic soundtrack and art. Great work!
This was great! This was crazy polished! How did you make this in 48 hours O.o!? The audio was amazing too. This was actually really fun and satisfying to play. This actually did a pretty good job of describing the life of a Ludum Dare creator.
Really cool idea and implementation, I like how it's easy to play but hard to master.
Nice simulation, good work!
Another amazing entry DDRKirby! A simple idea with brilliant execution and a great depiction of how LD usually goes down; from getting the theme from Twitter to the comments at the end!
This game should get to top 5, in at least 2 categories in my opinion. And I don't think others who played this game think otherwise.
Made platformer on my first try and made a decent game. On my second try I made MMORTSRPG and it was really messy... Pretty accurate :P
Great take on the theme, great music, great art. One of the more entertaining games I've played. Apparently I'm not too good at making arcade games (although that's what I made for real this time around, so... :P)
Nice :) It's good to see you trying different genres lately. Tried a couple of times, I guess the strategy is to keep productivity high by keeping food, energy, and motivation as high as possible … Completely unlike (my experience of) Ludum Dare :D
But it's a cool resource management game. The little choices when working on something are nice, the randomly generated names and ideas are also fun.
The music is, of course, very enjoyable. The GUI could have been more unified, maybe?
Overall … Well done!
I love the idea behind this game. I never thought a game about making games would be this fun.
nice simulation game, I think it has lots of potential.
The game feels complete, it's simple and yet there are a few strategies to choose from
and of course it's a very interesting interpretation of the theme as it concerns us all! :D
What a lovely homage to Ludum Dare.
It communicates in a very funny way the essence of what it is all about to participate.
Your Audio is exceptional as always.
This was really fun! I liked trying out all the different game options. Great job!
Argh just like in real life i wasted time on Art. Spent a lot of time on things and often gained 0 points in that category. Maybe too realistic after all.
loved it.
It's really helpful how you break down how the scoring works, makes even the randomness seem fair.
ok seriously, this is awesome! I had to play it again and again until I finally made that MMorpgrts kinda game successfully :D had so much fun ^^
Real fun! I like these types of games. The choices are great haha awesome entry, one of the most polished and original.
I've seen too many of these game development simulators before. The scoring in the game doesn't match the scoring system or categories used in Ludum Dare, which is okay, but I wouldn't call it "Ludum Dare: The Game". The pixel art looks dated and some simple animations would have helped a lot.
Neat little stat management game, I've included it in a video with further comments here, which should be up very shortly here. https://youtu.be/Afy4WAZrS2s
This is so addictive! XD I loved it! The pixelart is beautiful, and the soundtrack is amazing, it really gave the game some great feeling!
And I could never manage to make all of this under 48 hours, so really amazing work with game mechanics too! It was really fun allocating time to proper make a game, something I can never properly do in real life! :P
It would be pretty fun to have a "jam" version too! :P
Congrats! :)
Nice idea, good graphics and really nice music. It's also pretty fun.
It would be nice to have some constraints/precedence rules though (eg. it's a bit silly to work the first 40h on code/audio/design and the last 8 hours on design). The bug system does something like this though, and I really enjoyed that.
It's true, I pretty much didn't leave the room during this Ludum Dare!
This is incredibly polished, and the soundtrack is amazing. Great job!
Loved how you've managed to replicate the entire experience of making a game for Ludum Dare in this entry.
Holy cow! Great entry for a LD time frame!! That was quite fun and humorous! Many many things spot on hahaha
Brilliant idea and well executed. Had fun playing that to squeeze some extra votes in.

Nice! Love this type of resource allocation game. Music is fantastic, nice consistent visual theme. Like the real thing, I found that eating well was the key to success.
