Well, Mike ran in to problems getting working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Santas Little Helper

by sP0CkEr2 - Jam Entry

Oh No! All the Elves are missing. The Grinch sent his Minions to the North Pole and captured all the elves. Except you. Only you can save Christmas. Help Santa by loading all the Presents into his bag on Christmas day. Look out for the Grinch's minions, they are still loose. Pickup Power-Ups on the way to help you. Can you survive all 24 Shifts in Santa's loading dock?!?

Artist - Martin (9)
Programmer - sP0CkEr2 (46)
Testers - Simon (12) & Jean-Luc (14)

How To Play
Touch the Presents to add them to Santa's Bag. If a Present reaches the end of the Conveyor it will stop, but if another present touches it, the present will be destroyed. Power-Ups will occasionally show up in the game to help you. Gremlins will show up and steal your presents, destroy the Gremlin before it reaches the edge to save the present. Destroyed Presents takes away your Christmas Spirit. When your Spirit reaches zero, the game is over.

Stockings - give you speed boost
Star - saves all presents
Magnet - be farther away to collect presents
Clock - stop time
Candy Cane - get magic boost
Snowflake - sentry that takes out enemies

Arrow Keys = Movement/Jump
Z/X = Fire Gingy Left/Right

Right now the game if functional, but is missing a few of the Power-Ups. I will have a Post Compo edition available soon.

1.2 - added other platforms; small bug fixes; added webgl version;
1.1 - fixed bug in enemy spawn
1.0 - first release

Nice little entry who made here. The concept is really funny and well executed. Love the little bounce effect on animations. I enjoyed it :)

Simple, yet fun and very christmasy. I would have liked to see a little more to mix up the formula, as it was too many of the shifts felt identical.

Nice game ! Power ups are kind of difficult to get. Beside that, graphics and audio are good.

Funny game :)

Simple and bug free little game. Nice mood and well sexecuted. I muted the sound though.

Its a nice small little game. The switching of the lane didn't feel too good and the animation confused me at first with its mixed perspective. The graphics were really nice except for the presents and the monsters, which were made especially jarring with the comparison.

Nice game. I liked the speed of difficulty progression. Nice sprites, reminded me of some ZX80 or C64 games. Congratulations to the whole team. Bonus points from me for christmas themed game :).

This is a nice entry. It reminds me a lot of good old Atari 2600 games.
I especially like the bag of present getting bigger and bigger as you collect them, it's a nice touch! Congrats

Hi there, you asked me if i can create a version that does not need an installer. So i did that, if you want to check it out. i also played and voted for your game.
it starts a little bit slow, but in later shifts it gets really sophisticated. It is really fun and i like the Powerups.

Nice little holiday game. There were a few rounds in which there were not enough presents generated to meet the shift quota.

dynamic panic studios> yes, if too many are stolen that can happen, probably would be a good idea to highlight that somehow. thanks for playing.

I think you did and excellent job on the NES-like graphics, I've enjoyed the game much more because of that, well done!

Good game! I find it really interesting the jump between lines, it speeds the game a lot!
Also good idea the power-ups, adds variation to the game.
Maybe some animations bring a jump of quality.
And changing the levels a little bit make it more interesting.
Good work!! Keep going!

Funny simple game, i love pixelart. Is to coordinate the speed between the lines and along the conveyors. I didn't notice the increasing difficulty level.

BloodJohn> Yes, the game paced better jumping between the lines versus moving to them. The presents start to come out faster at later levels. Maybe I need psych mode!

Heads up - the Win-Post link 404ed for me.

Nice game, tight controls, simple premise, and a nice pace that kept me running all around without driving me nuts. The selfish alien was a nice touch!

Another nice touch was the 2x button right on the title screen, that was a big help.

Great job!

Cute graphics, nice game. I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :)
