I'm also having issues with the download link! Follow random-storykeeper's advice, and use another service! You can also use google drive if you have a g-mail account.
Agreed with the others, the download link is broken so we can't play your game!
My computer is detecting your download as dangerous, but I think it's because of the site of which you host it on. Just a heads up.
I mean I was able to load up the game fine. It seems to be a shooter, but I was able to go off screen and never come back. Meanwhile, my fellow enemies stayed honing in my position, bouncing back and forth along the bottom right corner, hoping for my return.
In my second round, I started moving around, but my enemies shot me out of my existence, then they dispersed off screen too, leaving me to gaze upon that pretty background you got there.
What I mean to say is, the game is pretty buggy. It definitely needed some sort of restart button to make this more...playable. I know it isn't finished, but I mean, it's not all that bad. I do like the graphics, and I definitely think it's worth trying to work more on this game and fix the bugs that make it impossible to replay.
It's a good effort, and you should certainly keep working on this. You can do it! ;)
Oh yeah, sorry, forgot to sign my username in that above comment. (Random-storykeeper)
It's a nice start! I like the graphics and the gameplay is pretty good (hard though).
A restart button would help so you don't need to close and run the game when you die. Also, it'd be nice if it stopped you going off screen. Perhaps some sound effects too?
Definitely carry on improving the game and I look forward to seeing your entry in the next jam!
It's a bit too difficult for me, but i finally WON! It's a great job, especially at your age! Keep it up!
The idea seems to be some kind of asteroids clone with "intelligent" behaving enemies. The game is quite fun even if I never managed it to beat all enemies. When you die nothing happens. I actually like the graphics, except that you player isnt marked in some special way.
Only 14? this is great! keep jamming and you will be making huge games in no time!
I managed to kill them all! :D A great first entry and keep up the good work! In the future I would say think about things like end conditions, restarting and score, but this is a super first jam entry :)
Great start! Very smooth movement and animations, and clear goal and gameplay. Keep going with programming and game development - this is a fantastic entry and it'll be great to see more!
I love the soft edges of the art, very nice style. As others have said, a reset button or something for when you die would be good; sometimes you seem to go off-screen, but sometimes you just disappear from being shot so maybe that's it. I managed to beat the game, the controls are pretty difficult, but they fit the mood of a space sim better IMO than the average asteroids clone. Anyway aside from a bit of usability improvements this is a great start, keep having fun with such projects. :)
Would have been nice with a restart key. Still overall the idea is neat. Would probably be nicer with a multiplayer mode
It's a solid start for a beginner! Although for now its more of a foundation of a game than an actual game, I still had some fun flying around after wiping out those enemies for spawn killing me a couple of times.
I've been gamedeving since I was 9, but I can assure you I wouldn't have been able to make such a gaem when I was 14... because I didn't know about sine and cosine back then. Big props to you.
Geometry Encouters sure aren't finished, and 72 hours (vs 48) was a lot of time to polish it. Nevertheless, you have potential. Keep jamming.
Movement and rotations are too fast, but I did it! Nice graphics. Don't stop and keep making games! Thank you.
The visuals are really great for a minimalist style!
So bad there is no music to create a gread mood!
That was fun thought, I managed to kill everyone after 3 tries!
Cool entry, keep it up =)
I wasn't expecting the rotation controls at first, so I died. Then I played again and almost won. I liked the AI in the game but I wish there was a way to restart without closing the application. Good job!
Love the menu title graphics, really good font. Think you did a great job with keeping the graphics simple. The game like you said isn't finished, so it's really hard to judge it. The lack of a restart is particularly problematic, something as simple as SceneManager.LoadScene(0) (might have the wrong function, just going off the top of my head) after a few seconds after your death would go a great ways to fixing the lack of ability to replay it without quitting the application and starting it up again.
I remember when I was 14 and making games. It took me so long to actually finish my first game, I don't think I ever completed one till I was 22 or so. But once you figure out how to wrap a game up, you start seeing how to wrap other games up. I'd suggest you finish this game up, add an ability to restart it, some simple sounds, and a score counter and you'll be done. Good luck!
I love the graphics and the game feels very smooth, however, it's extremely difficult to the point where I can't really play it. I usually end up getting killed after ~15 seconds.
Solid start. It's a bit too difficult to start with, The AI for the enemies seem to be the same which is why they end up on top of each other so maybe try varying that and It's a bit annoying to have to quit everytime to replay. If you keep going with it I'm sure it could be really fun, and not bad seeming as you're only 14. I look forward to your next Jam entry.
Hey the game is nice and I like t but if I die all the enemies spread in differed corners?
someone else has this too?!
Also please go ahead and test out my game!
Hey, great job at your first entry!
Looks pretty and it was fun to play it.
The controls were a little bit hard on me, because I was keeping on trying to use the mouse to rotate. But that's my fault.
Keep rocking, dude!
First of all, congrats on your entry! :) When I was 14 I was way more interested in playing than making, so you're doing it right from the start! :P
The idea is quite nice, an asteroids-like arena shooter, the game runs quite smoothly and that's great! :) The mix between old-school vector graphics with the background is nice! Though having more contrast for the ships would help some people play (specially some with color-blindness problems ;P).
Gameplay is good, controls respond pretty fast, but the game feels too challenging right from the start. Try to put some progression in-game, so the player feels the challenge build-up, not dropping over him right away. :)
Great work, keep making games! :3

I'm interested in playing your game (love the art in the gradient of the preview screenshot), but I'm not seeing a link to download the game anywhere. Your current link leads to the upload page of your hosting site. Maybe try a different hosting site such as itch.io or Dropbox even. Fix it ASAP so others can play and rate! :D
