Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
Defend your room against the vague, yet menacing terrors outside! In Kawaii Katastrophe you'll have to defend yourself inside your room to survive. Work with other survivors to scavenge for resources and defend your barricades. During the day, build up your defenses with the resources your friends have found. At night you must do everything you can in order to hold off as long as possible.

Hope you like it! Let me know!
Edit: Realized I accidentally zipped up all the assets along with the build. Not that it's a problem I just wanted to cut down on download size for people. It's the exact same build of the game, though.

Very cute coherent artwork and sound.
I especially liked the way you establish the vague terror with the sound and the screen shaking.
I would wish for a quicker rise in difficulty.
I like the cheerful aesthetics yet horror sounds/screenshake music. Nice artwork! Very kawaii for a horror game.
Thanks for the feedback so far everyone! I really appreciate you checking the game out.
Great game, the pixel art is well done and the monster effect/sound is so unsettling in contrast to the cute room. Great use of the theme!
I understand that the game is supposed to run infinitely, but there's no sense that the game gets harder or of any progress whatsoever. Yes, from time to time a new survivor may appear, but that's it. And yes, there's the days counter, but even that didn't really make the game fell like it was progressing...
It isn't clear if "reinforcing" indeed makes the barricades last more or if it only repairs them. I interpreted it as being the later, though. It would had been interesting if you could make the barricades stronger (i.e., permanently increasing its defense modifier) by reinforcing it.
As for the art-style, it's too inconsistent. Some things are outlined while others aren't. Each sprite has a different scale factor.
すごい! The sound design for the house being attacked was excellent, very intimidating! I agree, the difficulty did not really build any sense of urgency though. After 12 days or so I ended up just kicking everyone out and waiting 3 nights for the barricade to finally break. Still, the core mechanics are there and pretty solid, nicely done!
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I was afraid there would be some balancing/difficulty issues. Definitely something to tweak in the future!
Nice art and good job setting the mood with the music and the effects. The game kinda trailed off for me around level 13 so I just let the barricades go down and was a bit sad that there wasn't any beast that got it and tore everything up. Overall pretty fun though :)
Nice style. I haven't seen Kawaii horror like this before.
I did not expect the first night to be that tense ! Kudos on that. Also liked the graphics and sounds.
On the other hand, after getting some survivors, I felt less tension because overnight damage was not impressive. I'd rather feel tension because of the night dangers rather than the potential lack of food. Still, I don't think you need a lot of tweaking to keep the tension alive thoughout the game.
So cute, so sweet, so lovely. I need to protect them! <o>
Cute, fun game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/gkZsQxjDEm8
