Ludum Dare 37 — December 9th-11th, 2016 — Theme: One Room

Well, Mike ran in to problems getting working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Feng Shui Brawl

by Conradfay - Jam Entry

Be the first to match the pieces of furniture shown for your color! Furniture will lock together when it is matched (the visual feedback of furniture locking does not always work). If furniture isn't locking just give it a nudge. Furniture that needs to be matched sometimes does spawn next to each other, so games are not always fair. The goal was to have multiple sets each player has to match, but we didn't have time for that.

Ideally played with two players, unless you have two brains.

The furniture looks great! Didn't have anyone handy to play with, but it looks like there'd be some really interesting interactions around pushes blocking each other.

Ouch red/blu/violet colors on green background my eyes are bleeding and i cant read it. It was hard to figure out how i suppose to match items. I was hitting furniture but nothing happened until i accidentally hit something that did move after that i realized what to do.
Characters go through wall. Game play seams interesting but cant test it in duel.

I think what you did with the graphics to save on animations is extremely smart. Unfortunately I didn't have a second player so I didn't get to truly delve into the game.

Nice graphics! I gave it a try on my own to see how the game would work and I can see how this can be really fun on multiplayer (or with bots).

The item selection for each player could be clearer so you don't need to keep looking at the HUD to remind yourself of the choices (I don't know, maybe using some neutral colours, plus some accents tinted with the colour of the player the piece of furniture is tied to during that match).

Besides this and some minor physics and control issues, I really like the concept. Well done!

Wow I had a really great time with this one. I loved how the player hopped around like a trophy and it reminded me of this fond memory I have when Me and my dad won state regional championship trophy for bowling at summer camp at pondinko lake. Its closed now because an alligator got in a few years ago and gave everyone a good spook although everyone was okay, they still shut it down just in case, and they honestly didnt get much business after that indecent, but it wasn't their fault if you ask me.

Great graphics, great gameplay, solid entry! My only desire was to be able to jump over furniture.

Clever little room puzzle game, liked the cute design of the characters and furniture. Did notice at the end that if the losing player kept playing they could still complete there part and turn it into saying they won
