Escape the R... Ship?

Okay guys, this one for me has been a little rough.

This was originally a compo game, but I did not had time to actually finish something in the 48 hours. Seems like the website will let me submit to the compo, but since I'm out of the 48hours, I'll submit to the Jam, with programmer art and no sound and mostly no textures, yay!

I was originally targeting the compo, since I'm alone and I only had the week-end, but I also had work to do for school and exams, so my Saturday was basically cut short.

But hey, I actually had a lot of fun doing that!

I had the idea to make an "escape the room" kind of thing, but in a space ship, in zero-gravity.

I spent a lot of time and effort on trying to make 6DOF jetpack controls feel right both with the keyboard and with an Xbox controller.

So I basically made a "hey, you're floating in space" simulator and I don't have any real puzzles for you to solve in this thing, but hey I made it!

So, the "tutorial" is kinda useless, you can start it if you want, ESC or Start will get you back to the menu.

You move by using WASD or ZQSD (French AZERTY Représente!), this will translate you forward/backward and left/right. To go Up and Down, you use R and F.

On the xbox controller, it's the left stick and the triggers.

The LeftShift key (or Y) on the controller will put you in rotate commands, so you can turn around 3 axes.

It's newtonian physics, so you'll probably start going drifting it space. To kill your velocity (and angluar velocity) press space (or left bumper). If you want to reset your orientation to the default one, it's shift/Y + space/bumper

You have mouse/right stick look, so you ca look around yourself with that. If you're withing a meter of an object, and it's highlighted, you can interact by pressing left button, or A. If you grabbed something you want to get rid of, it's right mouse/B.

To "win" the game, you have to get the screwdriver that is floating in the cabin, then open the box behind your starting position, press the big ass red button. The door that is in the back will open, go through it into the blackness of space, and the game will thank you for having played it!
