Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
My first Ludum Dare entry!
You dodge stalactites. It's easy! Dodging shouldn't be a sub routine. Every so often a stalactite will be added to make the game harder, and the game is over when you get hit.
I used C# and SFML for the graphics, Pyxel Edit to make the tiles for the map,
Game Character Hub to make the sprite, and http://www.bfxr.net/ to make the sound effects.
I hope you like it!
Note: To get the source working you'll need SFML.NET 2.2, and to copy the arial font into the build directory.

Simple but polished. I think the player movement needs to be more smooth. Good work!
Look at me, jumping around, collecting stalactites...
(dies)
...oh. So it isn't about collecting stalactites, then.
Decent entry. Keep up the good work.
Good Job for your first entry! The Jumping needs a little tweaking, such as being able to control yourself in the air. I only died because I jump and run into a stalictite. Good work
Hehe, there are stalactites and you need to dodge them. So, it's Stalactite Dodge ;)
Pretty basic game, fun tho. I like the design of the character.
I feel like the game isn't hard enough, you have to wait a long time before it becomes really challenging.
I like the fact that you don't need to jump to get to the upper part of the cave.

If this game continue, it will be not a bad project. Add monsters to increase the length of the level, you get not bad
Nice mechanics.. .and it is actually one room! Keep it up, everything you do makes you better :)
Great game! The pixel art on the character, the walls and the rocks looks great, would've been great to see the stalactites drawn in that style as well. You might want to make the player movements a bit sharper and quicker, the jump especially feel a bit floaty. Other than that the game is amazing for a first entry and I had fun playing it, thanks!

Simple, but all works great! This could easily be expanded upon to a bigger concept if you liked it, like put this on top of a platformer or something.
I liked the little detail of the stalactites vibrating before they fall.
The one thing I'd improve on is the jump, maybe make the jump quicker, or just let you have some control in the air, I died most to mid air collisions while jumping lol
Good work!
