Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
(EDIT: Sorry for the broken web link guys, didn't notice before that web publish there was configured to be visible only by who edited the game entry (it was in Draft mode instead ou public) but now its fixed, sorry for the incovenience!
Defend the nuke bombs in a tiny nuclear room from crazy robots in this shooter / tower defense game, where you have to collect resources from robots in order to use certain weapons and ally robots across the room to help you.
Fast Instructions:
- Left mouse button to fire main cannon, careful to not overheat it!
- Use the mouse to collect pieces from robots as resource!
- Right mouse button on each of the technologies with enough resources to use them.
- Trap doors will summon new allies.
- The cannons will fire enemies for a couple of seconds.
- After activating themines, right click on them again to explode.
- Defend the nukes through all waves! if one get destroyed, the game is over!
Good Luck!

This game has the "X" thing every game should have ... Its very fun to play!
When I first saw the 3 lanes with enemies coming your way I thought about MOBA games like Dota and LoL with their minions .. then when I started grabbing resources it became a lot like Plants vs Zombies with their static defenses (a lot of skill needed for resource management!).
Progression works well but first 2-3 rounds are very easy and last round was exponentially difficult (almost lost a couple of times :P).
Very VERY good game .. congratz!

Funny defense game with stubborn robots coming closer to detonate some nukes that are inconveniently placed in this room you're defending.
I like how the ally and enemy bots have subtle differences in their facial expressions, in addition to the color.
Game is a bit hard to play with a touchpad (right mouse button doesn't reliably register). Overall, thanks for fixing the link, I enjoyed playing a couple of waves and going boom repeatedly. :)
Pretty neat. I felt the buildable elements were kind of weak for their costs, or maybe I just didn't use them effectively.
Good game overall, but I had an issue with some sounds that where really loud compared to others (when an enemy dies for example). But keep the good work ! Well done !
This is like my game, just more features, and in 2D. I had fun with this too.
Really fun little game! I really enjoyed playing it.
Could have done with a little feedback for the mouse, showing which "tower" was being selected/hovered over, maybe a pop up of the price rather than the noticeboard would have made the prices more obvious earlier in the game.
Very much enjoyed this one :)
The 5th wave is near impossible, ahahah. It is a very good entry. I like the mechanics to defend the nukes.
Muito bom o game!!!! PArabéns!!! ^^ consegui defender as Nukes e proteger o mundo hieiheahaieaehieahi
Great game mate!As i said on facebook, great idea to work the theme as a tower defense! Some unusual details also made the game shine like the players controled turret and the active spawn system. Great job there!
Very interesting defense/wave game! The game feels polished and the different choices for spending scrap feels meaningful.
I had fun playing this little game. I think it works well as a small web game. I must say though the 3 cost robots are OP!!
Is sound designed to break my reproductors? Anyway, after muting sounds, game was best I played yet, with great mechanics! You should add more types of opponents, and some permanent perks.
Awesome to play, and even though the graphics are simple its still pretty unique :) good work!
Not normally a fan of wave shooters but this was actually pretty fun. Controls felt nice and quick, which is a plus. The "death" sound for the robot was horrid - I needed to put it on mute (might be just my headphones, but it was literally painful)
Nice twist on Plants vs Zombies style with the addition of the shooter. It gives more action to the gameplay.
Just one thing I found: the cannon never overheated, I just kept shooting and got to the end of the game. I believe it was intended to overheat sometimes to balance out the gameplay, wasn't it?
GREAT ! Simple, efficient, fun to play! I think you really did well on the rythm of the game which becomes really faster and faster and it is good ! The game is not too long, but not too short ! Bravo !
Nice entry! It's fun, and there's depth in that there are multiple ways to do things. I like this one :D
Yaaaaay I saved the world at first try <3
It's an overall fun game and I think good concept. It lacks some polishment (for example, when I shoot a robot on the third lane, it will hit the one on the layer above if he is closest), but what LD game doesn't, right?
And I think that you could use more motivation techniques to make the player feel that using the resources are essential. I used the robots and turrets, but never the bombs and finished the game at first try without even reading the how to play.
But overall fun game, thanks!
Oh and one last comment: even with simple artwork, you achieved a good design, because it's easy to intuitively play and identify each element and it's function. And I admire that. I wonder if you can design that way with complex and rich artwork too.
Great job, mate!
Everything is working fine and the game design is well balanced!
Very good entry for compo!
GIB =]
Solidly made, but I felt I wasn't really pressured to use my resources a whole lot in ratio to what I had (I ended up with around 70 by the time the game was done). But other than that it was pretty cool. Good job ;)
Liked the idea. It would have been easier to play in a laptop if you have added shortcut keys for some of the actions though.

Hmm, the itch.io link at https://asturk.itch.io/defend-the-nukes is broken.
