Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

QuestMatch.Com

by Archonthewizard - Jam Entry

As a busy adventurer, you don't always have time to get meet new party members. That's where QuestMatch.com comes in! Build relationships and go on quests with heroes JUST LIKE YOU!

The game was made in Unity. All the art and sound were found/bought online. Thanks to my Twitch viewers, for all their help and support. Especially The_Newspaper and TheTruManDan! (twitch.tv/archonthewizard)

Controls:
Move around the room with WASD. Most of the game is played through UI, using mouse controls.

*EDIT: Fixed a rare bug which prevented putting your iStone away

Very interesting blend with some funny bits (Pig-man-pig!). Balancing and managing your guildies worked well, and I really dig the combat phase.

Nice job!

Always wanted to send a Dirk pic on the iStone!

Wow this is one of my favourite LD37 games so far.
Great job!
Loved the art and the iStone

This is a really creative and interesting idea, though in practice sorting through potential party members is a bit of a slog. The fight mechanics are a good fit for the game. I managed to beat Red Dragon, but lost to Splorb.

This game absolutely amazing! Five stars in all categories. This is the best game I've played from this Ludum Dare, it is a lot of fun and has a surprising amount of strategy. As expected, the Red Dragon defeated me. Fantastic work!

This game has excellent depth giving the amount of time available to develop! Well done!

Wow, i'm very impressed. I like the timed attacks so you can pair a glass cannon with someone to protect them.

Also tinder for questing using a stone iphone is hilarious. Strong on all fronts. If I had to pick something to improve I honestly don'y know what I would choose.

Ok, this is pretty funny. It's also quite a fancy game at that, so props! The hero browsing might get a tad bit tedious after a while though, but nevertheless, very nice!

Creative and unusual. A great entry with a big amount of work on the aesthetic. It could be improved, but this is a fun experience. I had fun playing it ++

Cool idea with great execution. Tech stuff doesn't fit with medieval style at all, which means Humor 5/5 :)

Dec 16, 2016 @ 1:10am

Really insane amount of polish. The humor and concept are great and it's outstanding that you managed to fit such a thorough tutorial in as well. Loved the simplicity in the gameplay and the depth in the party selection.

Really dig it, could use some more variation in the dialogue, as I was seeing repeats very quickly.

Is it just me that think WASD and Arrow Keys was a terrible input solution? I dunno, the game was ok dialog texts were ok, humor was ok, graphics and sound were amazing but that input scheme just ruined the experience for me.

Really enjoyed the concept, but took a bit to understand what's going on, probably because I'm old. Seems like there is a lot of depth to the game, very well done.

GREAT one! One of the best entries I played so far ! Really interesting gameplay, you really get involved in. (Just a detail : what is the interest in sending a dick pic ? Do you have limited contacts?)
The graphics somteimes glitch a little but nothing major. Once again : GREAT JOB !
(Ha ! And we made some Bowie references in our game as well! ;))

Hahaha, what a great idea!! I loved it! Initially I thought that it was basically about selecting party members, but when I found out there was actual combat, I was amazed! Great job!

Argh the game ended too early, I could have continued playing for hours (I already played for about an hour).

I love the humor, "quest and chill" "your quest or mine?". Brilliant!

It's too bad the graphics and sounds aren't from you. The main room is nice, though I would have prefered more enemies and a simpler room ;)

Overall, very good game. You should make this into a full game.

Brilliant game design :) Especially, that you coupled the tension of a tinder-like app with the theme of medival adventurers is awesome. I feel like that I as a player can live though fantasies, which wouldnt be possible otherwise.

Now I have to polish my long-sword ;)
