Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Flat Zombies!!!

by klams - Jam Entry

This is my first SOLO jam, i submitted it here because i needed more time to finish it (maybe scoped a litle bit too high for a first solo)

So you play as a teen who got his flat invaded by zombies!

i decided to not let the player die so it could be funnier to kill thousands of zombies (caution it may burn your computer after the first million!)

CONTROLS:

(L Stick)/(ESDF) to move your character (works both in "azerty" and "qwerty" keyboards)
(Space) (L Mouse) ((A) on xbox controller) to hit.
(Escape) to quit the game.

(I have made all the assets and the animations in this jam BTW)

Don't forget to rate the game and give some feedback (you can also put screenshots of the mayhem you have caused ^^)

Thank you all and see you around at the next LDJam!! o/

It was pretty cool, but the swinging of the bat was kind of weird (didn't always hit even when it seemed like it should have), I was invincible, and it didn't look like there was any sort of score being kept. Could be very fun if those issues are fixed.

This looks gorgeous! A bit more work on the controls and the mechanics and you have quite a polished little piece here. Good work!

Great art! After a while my floor looked like a clay pit of death.

Looks gorgeous but the controls could feel a lot more snappy. As others have said it needed a win or lose state to make it more interesting. Also I didn't hear any music or sound which always makes a game feel barren.

yeah i'm not a sound desiner so i didn't felt like to put random music found on the web. my goal here was to do evrything by myself. and the no win was desired it is just a game to loose some time killing zombies til you get bored.
i know the controls arn't perfect but it is my first time programming it will be better next time i hope. i will train game design til next jam

I love the graphics and animations, and even though there was no health it was still fun trying to avoid zombies while clobbering them.

Amazing art work, the collider of the character and zombie need to adjust.

The game feels pretty fun, and visually it looks great! Congrats on this one! Great models and animations, the room also looks beautiful. I miss sound a lot on this one, though. :/

Also, thanks to the mechanic of not dying, it kinda made me feel like the game doesn't have a clear objective, kinda felt more casual and took a bit of the fun/challenging factor.

Polish these details, balance the game and I'm pretty sure you'll have an even more great game than in here! :D!

Dang, REALLY impressive art and animation here! Really fun to watch the zombie bodies pile up, but obviously a win/loss condition would help take the gameplay to the next level.
