Ultimate Showdown

You have been transported into a chamber by an evil wizard. You must fight for his entertainment as he continues to throw more and more things into the chamber.

Controls -

Left - Left Arrow
Right - Right Arrow
Up - Up Arrow
Down - Down Arrow

Attack - Z

Fix 1 - Enemies were staying their invuln color instead of turning back. I corrected this before but must have gotten rid of the piece that fixed it at some point. Released new builds.

Fix 2 - Fixed an issue where boss was invisible due to stupid color default being alpha 0. Now it seems to have all kinds of other issues.

Fix 3 - Removed my splash screen because it seemed to be the root of an issue where the builds would not allow player to work. HOPEFULLY that's the last major bug fixed.

Linux and Mac versions are untested.

Planned Updates:
V1.1 (Done!)
Add bow as a weapon
Add New Boss

Add staff (magic) as a weapon
2 new enemy types

Add dodge mechanic
Possibly attack combo

Change score for gold
Use gold to upgrade yourself instead of relying on random drops

Interesting wave game. Would like for the attack to be a bit more impacting, fast/crisp and have a sound effect.

@PeachTreeOath, I'm not sure what platform you played on but the attack does have a sound. I just tested it on web to confirm it wasn't bugged.

Fun game, though I found running to be a far better solution than actually fighting. Good life lesson.

I liked the simple but cute graphic style, was kind of easy, just needs a few more features to make the game play more interesting

I liked it, had fun! Wish there was a bit more feedback when taking a hit. But when the boss spawned on top of me, I took a ton of damage lol.

Nice! I liked the art style and the progression. I'm not sure if this is a bug but the pick-ups that looked like first aid kits always reduced my health. A few more well balanced enemy types would make this game immensely better, but it is pretty fun as it is :)

I like this kind of graphics!

In my opinion, you should add some more mechanics.. or something like shooting enemies..

Because it's quite easy to spawn "z" and just win.

But good game dude.

I like the game, specially the slime (the star of the game hehe). But I would like to have a clear feedback that I'm taking damage on the character's sprite in some way. I died the first time because I didn't know I was taking any damage. I'm kinda dumb also haha

I have taken the feedback I was given and have a post LD update in the works. Correcting some issues people have and also some new features, as well as a graphics and audio overhaul since post LD is not limiting me.

Solid entry! I only played with the bow and arrow for a while, but it definitely seemed a bit OP as it can just blow through a bunch of enemies from a distance. XD Definitely had fun though. Good work!

Nice game. Has some issues with balance - bow is overpowered and kills bosses in one arrow after a while =)
Got to level 36 and 5000 score, but got a little bored then :)
Another concern is upgrading health - I think it is better to adjust current health too, so 10/10 would become 11/11, not 10/11 :)

@Gipzo, thanks for the feedback. Health issue is an easy fix and I'll think about making a new update. My next update was planned to address the scaling difficulty needed.

You have a neat graphic style, I think some sound effects and a little more polish will make this quite a solid little hack and slash game :) Nice job
