Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Get your bucket, fill with water, fill the barrels, save $!
You're broke and you could only rent a small, one-room shack for you to stay. Turns out this place drips more water than a sponge during rain!
But hey, RAINWATER IS FREE WATER! And you just happen to have a bucket and some barrels lying around, so why not? Free water means less $ out of your poor empty wallet! :D
Basically:
Fetch water from drips and streams with your bucket;
Bucket is full (or almost)? Go to a barrel and empty your bucket so you can fetch more!;
Empty your bucket anywhere else and feel the pain of losing FREE WATER!;
A bucket holds a maximum of 30 units of water. A barrel holds 60 units of water.
How many barrels can you fill before the timer stops?

I'm in the top 10! Very neat game! Graphic, music, gameplay, innovation... everything is top quality stuff. Awesome work!!!
Cool game! i love the pixel art graphics! It has quite a bit of difficulty to it. Well done!
Very polished game with smooth, but fiddly game play. I am afraid I expected more sophisticated game play seeing the overall polish of the menu, etc. :)
Beautiful music, cute character!
Nicely executed with beautiful artwork and pleasant music. The game type feels a little over-done to me, ive seen it done bunches of times- not much fun or anything new. Id say next time try to challenge yourself more with more unique gameplay or an original idea.
Overall though this is very well done and a nice little game-
The graphics and music/sounds are all very fitting, especially the splashing menu sound work great! Falling planks to signal the water streams are a cool idea, only it would be nice, if their generation was more spaced. As it is, sometimes a couple of them are created in the same spot at once, giving even more free water. :)
Hey, everyone who passed by and played, THANKS! :D I also want to play/rate/comment on your games, so drop a comment here so I can see who you are! :)
@ObsessiveNotion: thanks! I spent quite some time thinking about the art and ended up hurrying it a bit, so it's kinda raw, but I'm pretty happy with the outcome :P
@stadoblech thanks! Great that you've enjoyed it!
@gtacker thanks, really! :) As I said above, I kinda hurried it a bit, so I'm kinda happy it ended up like this
@kidando thank you! It's not that much of an innovation, but I'm happy you think of the game like this! :)
@floetenmaul thanks! I kinda ended up doing some tutorials during LD, to see which one would fit best. Ended up using some concepts from Zack Bell's platforming tutorial :P
@thomz12 thanks! Really happy that you and more people liked them. :) I wish I could've spent more time polishing the gameplay and balancing more stuff, will do it in the post-jam version :P
@Moritz thanks! Yeah, I kinda ended up lazing for a bit on the gameplay part. Also, I shouldn't have spent so much time with transitions and positioning UI stuff. Happy you liked the music, kinda did it at the last minute :P
@Haddy22 thanks, for the comments on art + music, I kinda wanted to make it a bit relaxing (rain + some light music). Yeah, the game style is kinda cliché, but I kinda wanted to stay on solid ground, instead of doing something different, because of time :P Thanks for the comment and playing! :D
@tylerdoggone Thanks for playing and passing by! :D
@alfadur thanks! I kinda spent a lot of time with sfx, recording the rain here (almost dropped my phone in a bucket tho :P). I wanted to have this anticipation stuff for some things, but I admit I was a bit lazy in terms of balancing water :P
@Datamosh thanks for coming by and playing. Yeah, I kinda stood on something a bit cliché this time, instead of going different, wanted to make it more like a toy, rather than a game, next time (or maybe in a remake) I'll try something better :P
As I kid I used to be better like games like these, but now they are really hard! First play-through, I didn't notice that there were two barrels I could collect water and it felt a bit strange having filled up the one I thought I had and have to keep running around and eventually loosing. Second time, I noticed the second barrel (maybe there would have been more after filling that one up too?). In any case it could have been nice if all barrels with remaining space would light up as you were collecting water. Possibly switching color to indicate if you could put part of what you have in the bucket but loose some if you put it in barrel A but in barrel B it would still all fit.
Cool arcade game, and with some online high-score board it could turn out quite addictive.
Nicely done! This is a very polished entry, and the gameplay is fun if not particulary original. I love the art and animations!
Wow, top quality game! the pixel art and the animations are great but the sound effects and music are perfect! The game feels extremely polished, even the main menu transitions. The controls feels really smooth. Great job!
Overall it is super nice!! I really enjoyed!
It's hard to make a strategy and jumping is kinda pointless, but the base is solid and the all the feedback are there.
Awesome job!
This game made me feel super cosy, especially with its lovely music.
The gameplay was pretty simple and fun, but the graphics and audio quality really sell it, some great work here.
One of my favorites! While straightforward, the gameplay is fun and having to drop off the water adds a nice unique layer. The audio and graphics are very well done too, the game feels complete. Great job!
The HTML5 version lags quite a bit but I like the mechanics a lot and it's a pretty good interpretation of the theme. As a suggestion I'd say maybe slow down the player's walk speed a bit as I found a bit too fast and often missing raindrops and also maybe have the falling debris do something as well like maybe knock you out temporarily for a few seconds and lose a couple drops of water in your bucket when you get hit by them.
I especially liked the pixel art and overall feel of the game. Other than that, it was enjoyable enough though I can't see myself playing it for too long. Good effort!

Beautiful graphics! Local leaderboard was a nice touch. Would have enjoyed in game tutorials, but that's near impossible for LD :) Good job!
It's nice to play with the gamepad. Control the movement is a bit difficult, and I don't think the jump is very usefull. Goo job, keep creating games !
The game looked amazing and had fun playing it. I would like to see this game improve and grow in the future.
sorry to comment here so late :6 trapped in some stuff until today..
i think your this game have very awesome relax effect! the music and these water-sound really wonderful, they mix together so harmonic and match eachother well...
and i must to say i feel your pixel art and animation be more and more powerful and vivid! (the cover also these sprites..)really awesome, you have been making great progress.cool!
btw, there are also water-container and little boy in my entry this time...but the water-effect has not been effectively stressed,so your entry give me so much inspiration about this aspect.
also it let me feel very interesting about these similary elements within our entry.(whenever get similar situation like this,i always feel so excited!)
all in all, very happy to see you in this LD again(also hope i could finish my game as soon as possible..ToT )
happy new year my friend!
hope you get more progress with art and dev in 2017
Cheers.
Loved the game! it's a simple game, with nice gameplay. The sounds of the game are nice, as well as the good graphics and animations of it!
Really enjoyed playing it! Nice entry!
Congratulations!
Art and animation is great! Cool vibe. I wasn't exactly sure why I was losing to be honest. If there was a timer I didn't notice. I made top 10 tho! haha
I wish there was a little noise when the bucket is full and that the player stopped a but more precise. Very addicting gamplay! Nice job!
I thought the graphics looks really good, the music and audio was also good, i liked the meandering guitar thing, I thought it fit the relaxed game style pretty well. I found the character moves a bit too fast, making it hard to position him, also on the title screen if you try to change option with a controller it goes crazy. The gameplay is simple but still quite fun. Pretty good
Lovely game :) It's been a pleasure to play this. The gameplay is so smooth and polished, I've enjoyed quite for a while. Very funny take on the theme, and great job with sound and pixel-art!
Felt like a genius when I figured out the relation between falling scrap and water streams :D My best score: 141
Very nice entry! It's simple but very polished.
The music is great, the graphics cute. Controls are really smooth.
Like it a lot!
