Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
ConQuest - Convention attendance simulator.
You work as a business person in the tech industry. Your job apparently is to go to conventions, but your company doesn't believe in booking hotels ahead of time so you have to play things by ear.
See if you can make it a whole year without being fired.
Controls should mostly be given in game unless I forgot something.
Known issues:
1. Most of the time you can skip text and advance by pressing any key, but after arm wrestling, you must use the space bar.
2. There is no real ending to speak of, so pay attention to your emails.

I haven't laughed that hard in awhile. Hahahahaha. Lost at every competition. I love how when I get fired the game crashes - perfect ending! hahahaha.
I wasn't expecting much going in to this because of the screenshots, but this game was hilarious. Definitely one of the most original ones I've played so far!
Also, admit it: The rock paper scissors game is rigged isn't it? Arm wrestling was easy, connect 4 was extremely hard, but winnable. But rock paper scissors is completely unwinnable!
I like the different minigames there are to get a room! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/HllFgHUemY4
Alex, rock paper scissors is not exactly rigged. The computer randomly chooses a move without looking at your choice (and is almost definitely biased to pick one thing more than the others). However, the computer does cheat in a way that makes it more likely to win than you.
Lots of Fun, couldn't win the damn arm wrestling! great idea and execution
nice job, screen shot could be better once in the it's cool.
This was one weird and fun game. Really good perspective for the theme too!
Unfortunately the game crashed a lot. Also it is really difficult, I was only able to stay for one night...
Fantastic work! You killed it with this theme and I'm a huge fan of the minigames (even though I lost all of them!)
I don't know if crashing when you're fired is intended but it's hilarious either way!
Fun idea and game! Really enjoyed this one, hard to beat though. :)
I apologize for the game crashes, I will try to investigate the cause of this.
Interesting idea.
The outcome when you win feels a little underwhelming, since you don't even get feedback via e-mail.
The amount of e-mails also felt redundant since it's irrelevant which one you pick as far as i can tell.
It would also be helpful to have the connect 4 rows numbered to be easier to check which one you want to play in.
Got a few random crashes while playing so i didn't get very far, but i did figure out the strategy for connect 4 which was fun. Nice work!
Cool take on the theme! I like all the mini games, except the rock paper scissors, maybe, because that's purely luck based.
The art style is super hilarious and fits the theme of the game quite nicely.
The arm wrestling might have been better with a single key, it's pretty hard this way :-p
I included your game in the third episode of my Ludum Dare 37 playthroughs: https://youtu.be/KZBHX8cfwxc

Hilarious use of the theme, great job! The number of different scenes in the game is impressive, and I got a good chuckle out of the art. Sucks to have to rest the game on RNG rock paper scissors though, but I suppose if there's no ending then it's fine.
