Scrap Reavers

by juegoman - Jam Entry

Objective: Survive for as long as possible in the one room that will be your grave.

Refresh the page to restart the game.

NOTE: play at https://juegoman.itch.io/scrap-reavers for best experience.

Controls: Arrow keys to move, mouse to aim and fire, CTRL to switch weapons, M to mute.

Weapons: Bullet, Cannon, Rocket, Laser, Wave

Each weapon is upgraded independently from each other.

Power ups: Health, Shield, Weapon Power Up, Weapon Speed Up, Weapon Shot Up

Enemies:

Hoverer, Shambler, Drifter, Guardian

Acquire weapons by defeating the Guardian that appears at every 5th wave.

Great Game, I like the mouse aiming :) some others have missed that part. Nice graphics and audio.

Fun game! The gameplay is really fun. Hitboxes were bit too generous at times though.

A basic concept with decent execution. Movement felt pretty good, the player is maneuverable enough to dodge shots.

The graphics are simple. The silhouettes of the player and enemies could be stronger. I couldn't figure out what the upgrade icons meant most of the time, and had to take my eyes off the action to see what stat increased after picking one up.

Stronger damage feedback would be nice. The get-hit sound doesn't stand out much, and I don't think there's a clear hit indicator for when you hit an enemy. Clearly identifiable sounds for each would be welcome, as well as visual feedback.

Old school music, not bad but it doesn't really seem to fit with the game. Basic sound effects.

A good setup, could do with some more polish. Nice work.

Nice and simple, direct-to-the-point, good work there! :) Missing a restart button, though! :P Soundtrack also gives a nice, fast-paced, mood to the game. Great choice!

Controls work nicely, but using a WASD setup would be more conventional for most people, specially because of how you set change weapons and mute keys. :P
