Well, Mike ran in to problems getting working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Mini Dungeon

by lukethecoder64 - Jam Entry

While exploring a forest, you fall into a cursed mini dungeon! Your only chance to escape is by slaying the monsters within!
This game is made in the artstyle of the original gameboy games, hence the chiptunes, insane difficulty, pixel art and cheesy storyline!

Use Mouse to shoot.

Due to a strange bug with HaxeFlixel, you can't use WASD, but instead you can use Numpad 8,4,5 and 6 or keys 1,2,3 and 4 if you don't have a numpad. Sorry. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nice simple mini game, I like the variety of enemies.

Played it through. Maybe it could've had a difficulty option at the beginning. Also the hardest part was the monsters that spawned right next to you. Spawn indicators for all mobs would've been good.

Very basic pixel art, but that's in the theme of game boy games. I would rather have silence than this music.

This is a neat little old-school Game Boy game!

Cute little top-down shooter!
Sound and graphics are consistent and fitting, but the music is a bit irritating because it feels too arrhythmic.
Also, I lost most lives, because enemies spawned too close to me. There should be some sign where they are going to spawn, or simply spawn with an appropriate distance to the player.

I really enjoyed this. Nice and solid gameplay. It would have been nice if all the enemies spawned from the bombs to give the player a bit of a chance to prepare for the attack. Overall nice work.
