Funny controls. I enjoyed that rumba moved like it was on a big elastic rope. Was swinging it like crazy :D

I liked it, would be great to have a goal, like for instance:
Clean the room before your owner gets home?
You could then very easily add wave based levels and power ups for your roomba, more storage in the bin for dirt and/or more batterylife?

Just my two cents :)

Nice controls! But no sounds >.< or backing music. Good game.

Not a bad idea but needs some kind of end scenario. And some sound. Still fun to play with for a while.

Disclaimer: we were playing the web version.
Despite this, it was actually quite a fun little game. The humor was quirky and cute, the mechanics simple yet capable.

The graphics were the weak point, I felt as if the developer wasn't sure on what style they wanted which was quite jarring. Other than that it was an interesting game that we enjoyed playing.

I really like that you can go under furniture and things.

I couldn't see most of the dirt, very realistic! And very satisfying to clean a lot of footsteps in one swing. It's a shame there's no sound and no end, though... Well, at least I think there's no end. Is there? :D

Is there supposed to be something in the top right corner? Looks like a progress bar obscured by the table.
Lots of people made roomba games it seems, myself included:D

@LoadedGames Thanks! All I was aiming for, was fun!
If you've played the web version, the lights don't work properly and it's laggy as hell, and the graphics may seem out of place. but when it's properly lit, they add up together quite nicely despite the many art styles that are present. also, I had to use mixed 2D and 3D elements, because I'm not verry good in 3D, but in 2D, you wouldn't know, that that is a stool and where are it's legs. but i am working on a post-jam version tat will have one style

@Heroes Thanks!
Yeah I didn't have the time to add any sound, or half of the things, that I wanted. and there is an end, it's just so anticlimactic :D you must get all the mice out and then clean the footsteps, so there are less than 20 present (because some of them are impossible to get to).

Dec 14, 2016 @ 10:51am

@Dvorgaz On non 16:9 resolutions it's displayed below the table height. But it's not verry important, so it doesn't matter too much :D

Hello fellow Vaccuum Robot game developer. Thanks for your kind review on Poopy R**mba. :)

Nice sealed hardwood floor, looks really fresh. Good thing you have a Roomba to take care of your massive pest problem :D

Game plays smooth, I like the scurrying motion of the mice. If you made the Roomlops have a bit more drag, it could offer more graduated control.

I also like the furniture you can go under. :)

I like the controls. It make fun to play. Nice game.

Is the game working properly or is it just me who is unable to see the footsteps? (tried both web and windows versions)

Anyway! The graphics are awesome - I want to learn that one day :) the theme is captured very nicely and it is pretty innovative as well :)

last question - is there a lose condition already ? :) would love to play the game again after all bug fixes :)

Dec 14, 2016 @ 7:25pm

@Michalidis that's super weird. did you see the mice and nothing that they were leaving behind them? could you tell me, what graphics option did you choose at what resolution?

thanks, but the armchair, table, chairs and table with drawers are just Unity free assets ( i spent 4 hours making the stool. didn't have time to make more. i'm not good with 3D) but the roomba, mice, mouse, floor and walls are mine. but thanks!

updated version will come next week probably. i have a lots of other work, and the stuff I want to do on the game is also a lot of work. but it is coming!

I quite liked the graphics, and the controls were interesting, it felt a bit like I was yanking the Roomba around on a big stretchy rope :). While the core gameplay as ok it felt like something was missing without something to aim for. While getting rid of the footsteps was fine, I never felt any reason to hurry up, or like I was achieving anything with it. To be fair, I feel we had the same issue with our own game so you're not the only one :).

Like many others I liked the controls and the way your mice leave footprints. That's about it though, I find weird that the robot starts twitching, when the bar in the top-right corner runs out which is probably caused by it returning to an idle state (facing upwards and moving - I am also unsure why is that even happening). On top of that, ran into a bug when there is one footprint left at all times even though all the mice are gone and the entire room has been cleaned (tried it multiple times with the same result).

From what it seems like a strange obession with Roomba games, this looks kinda cool, the movement feels good and the footprints are really cool.
Problem here I think it's the graphics and the fact that it has no audio. It looks like, for the materials, you just put some textures on top.

Funny game!

Dec 16, 2016 @ 3:35pm

The game played great. I was a little confused about the decaying blue bar though. I noticed it went down when I was moving and up when I wasn't but I couldn't figure out what it was doing. It didn't seem to affect my character in any way.

love the fact that you used a custom mouse cursor, could have been better with some sound and more of a goal (I have won but kind of confused how, did I clean enough footprints?). The robot itself is very cute.

The concept is cool but there are some bugs with the mouses movement, sometimes they get stack near a wall.

Models and textures looks very good, especially that armchair. Controls work very well and I like the blue beam from the robot to the cursor (but sometimes it stats flickering). The game is a bit easy if you just camp the mousehole, maybe could've had multiple spawnpoints?

Dec 22, 2016 @ 3:58pm

Nice little game. I like the smoothness of the movement! Well done :)

Dec 22, 2016 @ 8:54pm

Hahaha great use of the theme. I want to get a Roomba for my house, and didn't know they also chased away mice. They should mention this in the marketing materials. :)

Interesting take on the Roomba.
It was quite funny to try and bounce the mice around :)
Keep it up.

Pretty innovative idea and nice execution. I like how mouses go buck wild when you bump into them. Shame there is no music, nice relaxing music would add to the experience. I like graphics, art style is consistent. Overall pretty good game.
