It's very polished! Camera work is great, I love the movement and design of the enemy. That motorcycle is amazing too, along with the animation. But I can't get on the robot for some reason. Not sure if it's just cause it was unexplained, or I'm just oblivious to something obvious.

The graphics are gorgeus!

But I found the controls a bit awkward... way too many times I was not sure if I could climb the tree a little bit more or not, and sometimes it seems that the game had difficulty recognizing jump and grab at the same time.

I manage to get to the butterfly shape, but after that I just gave up :-(

Also, your game runs on wine fine! Since it is in lua, maybe you could publish a Linux/Mac binary too?

Cheers!

This was a nice experience, it is sad that the sounds for the 3rd phase aren't in, but it didn't affect the whole too much

there was a nice/disturbing feeling of powerlessness until i could figure out the robot's patterns

I'll admit that phase 2 of this boss you've created is extremely infuriating, but overall made me strive to get on that Button (head?) of his

All in all, i'm tuning in again Wednesday. xD

Interesting stuff, I found it way too challenging to play around the robot. Just couldn't get on top of it at all. Felt very clumsy.

Felt really slow on a fairly decent laptop, but that might have been a performance issue?

The robot animations were all very cool, and climbing on it was fun. The laser sometimes seemed unavoidable, though

The art and camera are great. I was having a lot of issues with the controls and climbing. It was very hard to get on the robot and stay on him. He kept shooting me with lasers as soon as i got up after being knocked down as well. This could be really good with some polish and design changes. The bike is awesome.

It looked really good, although getting the second heart was too hard, just as you said.

What a neat little Shadow of the Colossus style experience! I like that there was an arc where the monster landed and unfolded. Climbing the monster was really quite cool.

The graphics (especially the robot) felt quite Patapon-esque which is nice and the Shadow of the Colossus style gameplay was a good premise. But the second phase was so freaking hard I gave up after maybe five minutes of being knocked around.

Some things that make the difficulty feel annoying in my opinion:
- Loss of control when the character gets knocked around is too long compared to the speed of the game
- Air control isn't tight enough
- Had some trouble climbing then jumping and instantly climbing again, which made scaling the robot quite hard. Maybe it was just my clumsy fingers, but it just didn't feel right to me
- Transitioning into climbing from a bike jump was also super hard

Also saw some weird stuff after getting knocked super high in the sky. Overall I might've enjoyed the biking part a bit more than the actual game (pretended I was playing Excitebike) due to the difficulty.

The idea is good. I liked it, good animation. But not good enough permission. On the whole excellent.

Really good little game, well polished. It's really fun to play, and the fight against the robot is intense. The graphics are cute and colorful. Too bad there isn't any music. Good entry !

Climbing on the robot is very difficult. The graphic and animations are very good. I would like to see it in bigger window than 640x320 (I think)

After 13 min, 51 seconds, being hit 65 times and restarting the game once... I did beat.

I get the point of the screenshake, but tone it down a line, please. After some time, it stops being useful as a way to show the robot's weight and starts to simply be an annoyance. If it was less frequent, it would be fine, but the screen shakes violently at every step from the robot. Well, mainly on the second phase, which seemed the hardest, to me.

The controls are a bit annoying/finicky. It took me quite a while to understand that to grab the boss while airborne, I had to release the up key and only press D. After that, both the second and the last phase became a lot more manageable. However, it was still quite difficult on those phases to hop onto the robot's head. The inertia you maintain after jumping from its "wings", usually sends you flying uncontrollably in a random direction. I was only able to beat it by mashing 'D' after hopping away from the wing (instead of properly landing into it before pressing 'D').

The last phase was also kinda of a joke... I was only able to approach it by using the initial hill, since the boss wouldn't laser at that height. Also, I had to abuse a lot the fact that the laser only seems to hit you when you are grounded.

But, overall, I must admit that I did like it! And the graphics are beautiful!!

@TijmenTio, 2m 49s on my third try! Your turn! :)

@Hempuli, playing it yet again, I can say that it's possible to get used to the controls... In a way, that's similar to my own entry: I know exactly how to control and beat it in under 1m 30s, but I was well aware that not every would enjoy it (nor even understand how to move fast despite the slow walking).
That may be a bad thing though! Leaving the game as is would make it enjoyable only by a small niche...

Either way, I had fun! Great game! =D
