Well, Mike ran in to problems getting working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Congratulations ! You’re now the owner of a geek !

Take good care of your geek, as it is a fragile and delicate creature. Find some work, play some video games, and don’t forget to eat and sleep !

Controls are easy, just use your mouse ;) (I don’t know for mobile, haven’t tested yet)

Good luck with your geek !

PS: I recommend playing this game with google chrome/chromium, as safari and firefox don’t seem to be able to use the font.
PS2 : to see the sources, just right-click -> view code source

Hard in the beginning, but you get used to it. My favorite game of the competition so far!

Nice and fun game ))

Art is awesome! And so ironic looking at us geeks from the outside.. so boring. That's why this is genious! Good work.

Cool. There's a lot going on here, but I like the feel of it all (and the UI).

It fails to run on Chrome for me. I'm getting an unexpected token on line 85 - "function drawPixel(x,y,r,g,b,a = 255)" - I don't think default arguments are a part of standard JS?

That is weird, since I'm not even using this function in the end ^^ I've removed the defaults args, so now it should work :) (and just by curiosity, could you tell me your chrome and OS version ? )

A lot of very solid aspects to this game and it is addictive. I'd only ask for more things to spend all of this money on.

An entertaining little game, with a nice take on the theme :) I like the pixel art, it is both simple and clear!

A suggestion, if you make a post-LD version: Add some kind of visual indicator for the various bars, that illustrates the direction (and magnitude) of the change, due to the current activity.

Neat concept.

Cool game, fun to play ^^
I've no sound or music, it's normal ?

Funny game, really well done. Way too simple I think, I ended up dying voluntarily but there was enough content to keep me amused for quite some time :)

Interesting game ! It has good idea, but gaining skills isn't really useful. Beside the lack of content (can't blame you, it's a jam), it's a nice game !

I wish there had been some music for this game, because it was a little stark without it. I liked all of the different options for how to change all of the bars.

It's all around a good game! It's just a shame there are no sounds nor music cause it can really change the mood of these kind of games drastically. But I guess you already put lots of effort in only 2 days to make this system work :) Well done!

very cool idea. this game really has great potential.
it might be nice to add some sort of milestones like: "make your geek live for 5 days" etc.

In two days I became a master and my skills were so amazing I could sysadmin at any company I wanted to. I also ate 20 pizzas and read 5 books. The scale of a day seems a bit off :)
This game was very fun! It was pretty simple, but the job progression saved it. I enjoyed myself a lot! Congratulations.

Nice game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :)
