Well, Mike ran in to problems getting working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

The Tortile Chamber

by Nanolotl - Compo Entry

A game about exploring a strange room.

Controls (also explained in-game)
-WASD: Move
-Mouse: Look
-Left/Right Click: Interact
-Space: Jump
-F4: Fullscreen
-Q: Quit
-Esc: Free the mouse

Please let me know if you have any problems with crashes (especially vertex buffer related ones)

Update 1:
If you are getting an error message to do with a shader a failing to compile you might need to install DirectX Runtime (
Alternatively I have included an alternative download that does not use the shader.

Update 2:
I've provided a Black and White version of the game in case the regular cyan version is too bright. This version can also toggle the dither shader by pressing P

Update 3:
Added some optimizations to hopefully reduce any freezing issues (currently only the primary version)

Nice entry, very fun and thoughtful, just hard enough to make you feel clever without being stuck. Not sure the blue shader thing was necessary but it still looks good. Great job!

Fun game, great take on the theme! The number blocks are interesting, some kinda mix of Sokoban and Minecraft.

Interesting game. It keeps freezing on me randomly, though. A little too heavy on the blue, though.

I'm not going to lie, the shader is a neat effect but it really strained my eyes after a while, and quitting out of the game made them hurt more.

That said, I was impressed! The puzzles were really interesting and I like how everything built on one another. Everything to do with circling and the visual tricks was really cool, honestly.

I did end up getting stuck because I used a key before I think it was meant to be used.

* 4D Space
* Amazingly stylish aggressive dithering
* Very clear objectives with no explanation, partly due to all our prior exposure to Antechamber

* After playing, everything not blue looked orange
* Short
* Some guessing involved
* Mouselook feels just a tiny bit slow
* Sometimes the hit detection on clicks felt a bit off, maybe a little mroe forgiveness on aim would help.

The game will freeze every few seconds with or without shader

Great style though!

I really like this entry! The one thing that botherd me a bit though were the colors used; but that's just my opinion!

The best LD entry I've seen so far. Puzzles are consistently solvable without guessing. Style is cool & original. I r8 gr8 8/8 m8

I really like the shader, and the exploration, but the game kept freezing on me. There was also no audio.

This broke my brain, i have no idea how you did any of those awesome transitions but they are the coolest things. Amazing stuff.

Excellent puzzle design. The mechanics are all from Antichamber.
