Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
Monsters invade your house.
You have got to protect that one door. In this ONE ROOM.
The room behind the door is sacred. That is the ONE ROOM that the monsters want and you must protect it.
Remeber your ammo is everything and if the door loose health you loose too.
Oh yeah and watch out for the monsters, some of them has special abilities.

Game seems fun (I really liked the music of the shop), really challenging. I'm less fan of the graphics, missing cohesion, but hey, we do what we can in the given time ;-).
PS : I got a bug the second time I used the shotgun.
Should have some kind of alternative for when you don't have enough money to buy ammo but run out. Would have liked to see the shop as a pop-up in the game rather than its own full screen. Otherwise, really awesome audio work, nifty graphics. Like the arcade feel. :)
You can run the game, but it gives a fatal error. Liked the music, but didn't understand the win condition or the loss condition.
Nice, but a bit confusing, also got a bug.Still, nice!

This is great fun. I love over the top shooters, the music really adds to it too.
Received a fatal error though:

after re-creating the error a few times I realized it was coming whenever I shot with a shotgun at one of those smaller guys from the big guy that gets split in two when you kill him.
Hi all thanks for all of your comments. Yeah it was a late night for me (the joys of being a developer) so some bugs might have slipped through. I will get them fixed asap.
Fun game, my only complaints would be that it seems kind of weird to pivot the rotation of the guy around the gun instead of the center of his body, and I had to scroll quite a bit to switch weapons.
This game has a nice nostalgic feel to it.
It'd be nice if the guns auto switched with a sfx when you kept clicking and were out of ammo.
I agree with previous comments that its a bit odd that your rotation point is around the gun and not the human center
The gameplay is pretty fun and I like the different enemy and weapon types quite a lot - especially the red and orange monsters. The contrast between Shop and the combat themes are pretty funny. Sadly, I seemed to encounter quite a few bugs, like the Door Health decreasing for no reason and not being able to buy ammo even if I had a lot of money. Maybe giving the pistol infinite ammo would have helped with the ammo / money problem you eventually run into. Some kind of score tracking would also improve it a lot.
Still a very charming game that feels good to play, weapon sounds and movement are quite good!
Great fun, I enjoyed the enemy and weapon variety. I encountered a few bugs with things such as collisions but I didn't run into the fatal errors luckily!
I would play for longer if you had a score system.
Good job on your game :)
I could easily get stuck by not having ammo as well as no money to buy more.
First game, I ran out of ammo and then couldn't do anything. No idea how to get more money, and the monsters were taking many shots to kill. Second game, tried to be more careful, make every shot count. Same result, basically. Some monsters seemed not to drop any money, or not nearly enough to cover the cost of killing them. 3rd try, even worse. One guy I shot eight times and got four dollars. No way to make that work. 4th try, game ended super fast. This is frustrating. 5th time, I actually earn some money, but door dies nearly instantly after a big ammo purchase. I finally buy other ammo. Can't use it until I guess correctly that mouse wheel changes weapons. Eighth game, I finally figure out that I start with some shotgun ammo, and it's way better than pistol. Wow.
So, game is fun, once you know that you can switch weapons with an undocumented control, and that you have some ammo for better weapons to start. Those would be things to tell people. I like the whimsical monsters and the animated coins and blood puddles. Music is a little heavy and loud for my taste compared to game sfx, but it's a match for the tension. Theme is cool. Controls mostly made sense, and game was smooth and nice looking. Good work.
Thought it was really funny how the rock music got instantly replaced by the calming shop music whenever you bought ammo. Some balancing issues aside (really easy to run out of ammo completely) it was pretty fun.
Very challenging. Also, the first gun (forgot the name), wasn't very powerful. I think it would be better if you made it a little more powerful.
Pretty good! Lost my first round spending all my ammo on an orange guy, which gave me basically nothing in return. Round after that was fun, lasering dudes was fun, and the shotgun sounded great; I noticed it did more damage, but it lacked the spreadshot feature that usually defines shotguns. Once I finally ran out of bullets I still had $10, but not enough to buy anything, and had to wait around while the monsters killed me off. Maybe could use a little more tuning (Art of screenshake; give both your player and your enemies less health), but I like it.
I really like this. I think the sound effects are a bit too loud in comparison to the music.
This was very good survival shooter! I didn't see any bugs, nice job!
It feels good to kill the monsters! Some polishing with collisions and balancing could make it a lot better.
A cool base idea and a decent production but I guess you should add more and better feedback. Watch 'The art of screenshake', it should give you lots of ideas.
Nice game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/jorB_de2Urk
