Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
Awakened, Lily found herself in a strange world.
[Input]
You can use W/A/D + J/K or UP/LEFT/RIGHT + Z/X to control.
UP + JUMP Key to use Teleporter Item.
Gamepad is also supported (at last minutes without QA)
Press F8 to toggle FullScreen Mode
* Since the game is lack of hints, please read the [Hint] section below if you don't want to waste your time to figure out the game's mechanism by yourself. And the [BUG] part in case of being stuck (or use v1.1).
[Note]
Wishing there are more time, but i have to rest. Perhaps porting it to Mac OS after my sleep.
Update: built a simple mac version, not sure if it works correctly
Update: thanks everyone testing the mac version, now it is reported working.
Update: [BUG] please don't push the room to the right in last screenshot's position before you have got the teleporter item (Yellow Room). I'm gonna fix the map to avoid the stuck as soon as I have some time. (new windows version added, os/x version is on plan)
[Tools]
Code: SFML + VS2013. Some snippets copied from tutors on the Internet.
Art: PyxelEdit/Aseprite/GIMP/Paint.net
Sound: Sonar/Bosca Ceoil/Musescore/Bfxr/Audacity
[Hint]
Ok, this is the hint (sorry for confusing):
- You can push/pull your room by action key (J/Z).
- when you pull your room on a colored tile, the ball on the room will become corresponding color. Then you can enter it to get sth new.
- Get stick item to fight.
- Get teleporter item to teleport the room
[After compo version]
v1.1: modify the map a bit to avoid the bug that make player stuck.

Could do with a little more explanation on what the items do when you first pick them up and definately needs explaining that you can drag the room around, but the concept is fantastic and it generally is excecuted very well, I would love to see it extended into something more in future
That the no.1 thing in my to do list before my sleep. But really too tired to do it, sorry for the inconvenient. Thank you for your advice!
Hi. Running on Mac, but I'm not sure if it's not working or if I just don't know what to do! I got from the bedroom into another room, and couldn't figure out what to do next!
It does run on mac, but I'm having trouble figuring out what to do. I figured out I could drag the room with the action key, but I can't figure out how to trigger switches?
Ok, this is the hint: when you pull your room on a colored tile, the ball on the room will become corresponding color. Then you can enter it to get sth new.
I think I should add it to the description....
I can confirm this works on mac :)
It took me a while to figure out how the games system works, but after that it got really cool. The graphical style is really cool!
The jump sound got annoying very quick, because you have to jump a lot.
Well done!
It took me a while to figure out how the game was working. It is fun tho. It reminds me a bit of a game a cousin of mine made a few years ago, with a similar mood.
Nice.
Nice adventure, but I was stuck until I read the other comments. Please add some signs/text or something :)
Uhm, what action key?
I can jump around in the bed room and the room outside and that's it.. nothing to drag or I don't get it.
Will check back if somebody can explain how do do "it".
Okay.. I get it now :)
You can drag the room you come out of around, with the "J" key.
But i got stuck next to the yellow colored tiles, because i dropped my room into the pit to the right of it.
Nice game.
What should I do after get the item in the yellow room?
@ginger9 you can teleport your room by press up + jump
with this ability, you can explore more parts of the world.
Actually started not liking it but then grew to play through to the end! Once I realised how all the teleportation stuff worked, I was into it. You needed to make this clear in the game - it's a bit difficult to read this all on the description before you start. I had to go back and re-read a couple of times.
Well done, and I think you should develop this idea further. Real promise here. I like the goal of getting the 'one room' onto the pads to take you to different rooms. Kind of like a partial Tardis! Good spin on theme and well done.
Cool platformer! An interesting mechanic, cool puzzles. Last boss gave me notably defecate, but I won it!
Nice idea and level design, with the hint I encounter the last boss, but it's difficult to avoid the bullet that i falled to defeat it.
Always feel that platformer is difficult to do 'cause so many classica works there. But I enjoy it. Nice work. Besides I like the atmosphere too.
i think there was an interesting game that got hidden behind not really explaining anything, having to discover things for yourself is fine but you have to have an intuitive way of discovering it.but i liked the way you interpreted theme
Hey! Played on Mac and can confirm again that it works just fine. c:
While I'd consider it a stretch, since technically there are lots of rooms in this game, this was a funny and creative interpretation. Definitely adds to the humour score!
As you already know a few things were a bit unclear, and I actually thought I'd broken the game and gotten stuck once I got the teleporter, but luckily I went back here to read the description again before I restarted the game.
Bullet hell was unexpected! I'm kind of lousy at that. So the fact that you had checkpoints before the bosses and didn't restart the entire game was a great bonus. Both of them defeated me once or twice before I won.
And hey, some precision platforming too. Didn't expect that from what seemed like a full-fledged puzzler at first for some reason. That was a nice segment. c:
I guess it was a bit weird that there was no music in the room, especially since that's where the game start, but then music suddenly outside. You could probably just have played the same track in both places.
Found it a bit humorous how you'd animated the character's bow when walking, but not the legs. p:
Nice little game!
Nice game, gameplay was working very well and I really like this idea of moving the room and depending on where it is located, you will be moved to a different place !!! Remind me the moving castle movie :) Good concept !
Original concept. Simple but coherent graphics. Audio is creepy!!! xD
Cute game with nice idea of dragging around your own entrance to new world. I think I was invincible though, 2nd ghost-boss I missed a jump and got hit but nothing happened. I of course made use of this by just spamming hits without worries. ;)
Hey, that's a neat little entry you made there. Strong plaformer with preety cool minimalistic art style.
I played through the whole thing and ended up beating it, but the biggest improvement you could make is presenting the player with some guidance about the control scheme. I had difficulty starting the game, since you had to press 'K' to start, and I had to pound down on the keyboard until something happened. I was expecting arrow keys or WASD for movement but it turned out movement was A and D, with K or X for jump. These are extremely strange keys for a PC game!
Overall though, it was very well made.
