Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
In "Maze Frenzy", your goal is to make your way through a maze to exit the room you are in as fast as possible. However, you will only be able what is directly around you player without the aid of light powerups. In the mazes, there are also various enemies that will block you and traps that you must deactivate to continue on. Try to make it through all 12 rooms.
Controls:
Movement = Up/Down/Left/Right or WASD
Pause = Escape
Deactivate Trap = Space

Very well presented, quite a challenging little game too. Good work!
It's fun. I like the feeling of danger with the darkness but I think that the starting all the way at the beginning may be a bit harsh!
Hey thanks for reviewing my game Five Star Hotel!! I'm glad you enjoyed it (and made your arm tired...) Anyway, I enjoyed your game as well, I found it difficult, but still fun.
A simple maze game with a twist. I enjoyed it and I liked the music as well.
This has really simple but effective mechanics! The best compo game gameplay-wise I've played so far. I think you could take this and make it into a good "real game" by adding in an explicit theme and graphics. Also, pleased to see that Java hasn't quite gone extinct as a gamedev platform. :D
This is a cool game, the graphics are very simple but effective for this type of game.
The sounds/musics are nice.
Traps are a very vicious idea ^^
Good work!
Maze was the first game I ever made, and yours addition of powerups makes it way better. I really liked the background and music. But.. technically it's not one room =)
I'm surprised I've never seen the idea of having to memorize a maze as fast as possible before! It's a really neat game and I definitely my favourite so far (after playing about 10 so far). Congratulations :)
The audio is also surprisingly pleasant even after a few minutes it still doesn't hurt which is the case for many compo games :D
The game has become pretty challenging at level 5 :O just when I thought it could not get any harder :D
Simple graphics with interesting game mechanics and audio :) great game in overall :)
Great idea! Great indeed, I believe that it has evaded a little of the theme, but that did not diminish the great game. Congratulations on your work and your code.
Nicely done! Very engaging, and a nice ramp in difficulty. Plenty of interesting ideas introduced, and the levels are tricky but fair.
Well polished, innovative idea on a maze game, great sounds and the graphics serve purpose
This game seems interesting. Any chance to bring it to Linux? (it uses Java anyway, right?)
Hey that was simplistic but cool and well executed. Love the mechanics, the idea that makes the labyrinth go dark after a few seconds is neat, although the first 2 items aren't really much help. The one for the traps is vital though
This is very clever and well-put together, though I'll admit I feel it's a little cheap how sensors don't respawn after you die (I really hope this was just a bug!) I was able to beat the game anyway with some good memory and a bit of luck, but you might want to check to see if this is a bug or not.

Interesting twist on the maze game. Graphics style reminds me of "adventure" for the atari. Nice work!
