Panic room

One room. One. Room. The voices. The noises. Getting closer. The wall people have found you. Your room. They are coming to get you. They are here. Nowhere to run. Wall people everywhere. This is it! Escape or die trying! Who are you kidding? There is no escape. Only trying. And dying. UUUURRRAAAAA!

Do your best to fight the wall people! Pick up what they have in their pockets and use it against them. Hah!

WASD to move around
Mouse to aim.
Left mouse button to shot (auto fire possible)
P or Escape to pause
M to mute the mind melting violins

The desktop version provides the best experience but also requires java to be installed. Html5-version should work in most modern browsers. Unfortunately no sound in Safari since it doesn't support .ogg.

I like it. Nice player movement. Its difficult when the wall people becomes a crowd. Maybe you can give us a grenade? :P

I like the movement of the player but I feel that the enemies don't have enought feedback when they are receiving damage. Good job!

Very fluid game ! I liked the power-ups ! The music was kind of weird for the game, but it put a weird mood that I did enjoy.

Kind of addicting and nice artwork!

But I think the collision feels a little weird (like if the collision box was bigger than the player). Maybe that is because of the perspective: I think if the collision model's height was a little smaller so that the player's head could overlap the enemies behind it, it would feel more natural...

This is a pretty sweet game. I like the pacing. It could be cool to have more variety in how the power ups behave. for instance the flame thrower is very similar to the laser atm, but you could make it catch the enemies on fire which could cause a chain reaction and catch others on fire :D

Nice art and audio, and simple but well made gameplay. Maybe a little RNG-heavy with the powerups.

Fun game, good ramp of difficulty, nice graphics. Would be nice to have some more tools to get out of a tough spot as it gets harder, some sort of smartbomb equivalent?

I liked the game. The art style and the animations are great. Also the tinting of the screen when you're wounded is nice.
The music is good, but in my opinion didn't fit the gameplay too well.
The power-ups worked well for me, but I would like it more if they stacked (for example collecting a 'D' and an 'S' would double your movement speed and your gun speed).
I found it strange that, when you move diagonally at a wall (pressing 'W' and 'A' on the top wall for example), you don't 'slide' on them but rather are glued at your current position. Otherwise the player movement worked well.
The game is getting progressively harder, felt good. :)

Btw: my highest score was 935. :)

Pros:
-I like the sprites on the enemies
-Its fun to play -- especially once you figure out the best strategy which seems to be to take out the mummies first since they're only one hit kills and seem just as likely to drop a power up as any of the baddies with more hp. Once you get one of the better power ups (flame thrower, etc..) focus down the suits and the fatties.

Cons:
- Collision hitbox on the bad guys seems awfully liberal
- Wish it had an ending or win-state

Solid game though!

Very nice simple game. I got to 1136. That was the highest I could get over a few attempts. I enjoyed it a lot I just wish there was some sort of win condition. Maybe gather 10 hearts to heal your mind or something? I really loved the pixel flamethrower, sexy.

It was fun to play! I noticed that the hitbox of enemies are bigger than the sprite, this makes it difficult to scape from a big crowd. I liked the power ups. Good work overall!

The game did feel very pressuring after a while when those more tanky enemies didn't anymore fall because I didn't get much power ups after some point. Overall a nice game.
