Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
You find yourself in a long forgotten chamber in the ruins of an ancient civilization. Strange contraptions and cryptic messages lie in wait as you seek a way out. Your only companions are the notes left by an explorer who came before you - deceased. Will these hints be enough to secure your escape?

Here are two additional hints not explicitly stated in the game:
*Use and pay attention to your mouse. If your cursor changes, try clicking!
*As you find note scraps their information will be recorded in the appropriate place automatically - you don't need to write it down yourself.

Legacy is a puzzle game inspired by old school dungeon crawlers with a tiny splash of point and click adventure. A lot is deliberately left up to you to figure out. Some elements are randomized, making each playthrough very slightly different. I created it on my own for the Jam using Unity 5.

The game was fun playing, even if I could not solve many puzzles. The movement feels kinda stiff, I personally would prefer that you do not need to press the direction keys repeatedly, but rather can hold them to move.
Awesome entry! Great sense of polish and mood. A little awkward to move; would have been nice if pressing the movement button mid-transition queued it up. I also found myself missing sidestep keys, which would have made some of the puzzles less tedious.
I liked what you did with the audio. The music gets repetitive fast, but it does set the mood; really liked the sound on the floating crates.
Got all the way through to the end; almost thought it was broken until I realized that I'd misread the 3 and 4 tiles (I'd assumed the plaques were moving counterclockwise) and fixed my error. D'oh!
Great entry! I love dungeon master and Legend of Grimrock, so right up my alley. The controls were slightly stiff and the puzzles were pretty end-gamey, so I didn't finish it. The mystery and mood is great though, and I'd come back and finish it if I could move faster/strafe. Some ambient sounds would also be killer.
Really nice job!
*Minor Spoiler below for anyone who hasn't played yet*
I thought everything was super hard until I figured out that I could stand on the last button to permanently solve each puzzle. Things got a lot easier after that.
don't think I'm smart enough to solve the puzzles and walking one square at a time is quite awkward, but the game is very pretty and I loved the collecting the letters part :)
Really Nice puzzle game, kept me busy for quite a while. Pen and paper was a must for figuring it out.
Wow! The game looks amazing, and the puzzle solving feels great. The concept is original too!
The game had a great atmosphere and clearly had some well thought out puzzles. I kept thinking someone was going to jump out at some point haha
Love the spooky mood and the atmosphere the game creates. While I did like the puzzle solving atmosphere, I thought the controls were a little wonkey, and I kind of think the puzzles would have been more fun if I could have seen the whole thing at once. In three dimensions, visualizing things like a 2D grid just isn't that fun when you are better off getting a piece of paper and pencil out and working it out from a top-down point of view. Cool game though, and loved the music!
Well, deciphering the messages took longer than I care to admit. Overall the actual puzzle solving was fairly basic, but I still had fun doing it. Putting everything together at the end felt satisfying.
I like the visual style.
It's very well made :) The only thing I found annoying is that you have to repeatedly press the the key to move forward... Still, well done :)

I had fun playing this, the puzzles are really hard so I did not really achieve anything ;)
