Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Keyhole

by Gord10 - Jam Entry

Game adaptation of the famous horror story, Keyhole. A short interactive horror story.

You will stay at an old hotel for tonight. The receptionist lady warns you about not to open the door or look through the keyhole of Room 103.

When you go upstairs, you hear a woman crying in that room. Will you indulge your curiosity?

I used my own interactive story system I developed for Interactive Horror Stories. 3D models are from Unity Asset Store and MakeHuman.

Nice game! The spooky atmosphere definitely comes across strongly, it had me on edge the whole time. There are a few typos but other than that it's really, really good, keep up the good work!

It was nice, just enough spookyness thanks to the sound and the limiting vision of the keyhole. The gameplay was pretty simple and there was only really the option of experience the story or don't. I enjoyed it though.

Thank you!

Yes, I get that bad English critique about my stories. English is not my primary language, I usually get proofreading help. But this time I could hardly finish the text at the deadline and hadn't a chance to get help. I'm going to update the game when my friend is not busy to help me.

Nice job!
Really good atmosphere and I think you managed to deliver the horror/uneasiness feelings through the players.

Atmosphere was great excellent. The introduction was a good length, these kind of stories can drag on sometimes, but I felt the pacing was perfect here.

It would have been nice to see more dialogue tree branching and depth, but there was enough content to play through twice.

I like this, it's a little short... feel like it could use more of a build up (though i don't know the original story). you could also do even more with sfx and audio/music to really build up the atmosphere.

Coooooool. I really liked it. I am not a fan of anything text based but the bit of gameplay and the way the story came together was awesome. I appreciate this! Good job!

"I personally want you to feel bad" hee
Good adaptation of story, great atmosphere. Everything makes sense in the end! And no cliche jumpscare of her killing you in the end, huzzah!

I'm too scared to play this game, I know the story though, and I will try to play this as I feel it would work really great.
