I liked the what this game just sits between a cookie clicker and a text adventure.
It's hardcore game as hell. I don't understand how to get a bone key =(
But I played it A LOT. Thx for nostalgy oldschool feelings.
Could have more stuff going on since it gets repetitive after a while... But it's well-made ;)
Can you upload on some sane server which doesn't ask for flash when it's not required (well, twine doesn't use flash as far as i know)?
Oh well, figured how to run it. Here's direct link: https://game273543.konggames.com/gamez/0027/3543/live/The_Room.html?kongregate_game_version=1481489466
Very well implemented text adventure! I like the random mobs/attack types/damage. It makes for a new challenge with each play through. I also like how you play with colors to clearly identify objects.
Three things I noticed:
- I usually got killed by the first Skeleton, Ninja or Dwarf. Often I didn't have enough gold to buy a better weapon or healing potion untill then. It would be nice if the wouldn't appear so early. Once it was the first mob I had to fight.
- I get negative health for one round before I die.
- Healing potions should not heal a random amount. If the random amount is smaller than the damage the mob does, it's just frustrating.
Overall a very well executed text adventure with plenty of details.
