Moon Maze

Player controls a scienntist lost
inside the a maze on moon.

This is an exploration game with puzzle
elements of space.

How to play:

WASD to move the player
Q to select block [You can only control small blocks at start]
E to cut block into smaller one [would cost battery]
Arrow keys to move the selected block

The game is about collecting cubes and batteries to increase your abilty of exploration.

About:

I am a one man team fighted 72 hours for this game.
I guess I have wasted some of time on less important aspect of the game,
which cause the shortage of gameplay content in the end...

The idea is about making a exploration game with the sliding puzzle mechanics.
The best part is player can cut bigger blocks small if the puzzle part is too hard.
Also, charging a block can be used for battle.

This is cool, it's fun being able to run around and control a block at the same time. Nice graphics too.

There is a problem with the files though, the data folder isn't named the same as the exe. It was simple to fix and get the game running but I thought you should knowthat the way it is right now creates an error

The game is amazing! There is so much to get through, I didn't complete it but I got quite far. I really like how it takes simple mechanics such as the unblock mobile games and brings it to a PC.

The art is really nice as well. You should keep on working on it!

Nice, dont think a got the right solution to the puzzle to get the third cube, just cut up the side wall, when i cut it it looked like nothing happend but i could suddenly grab a block and walk through even though it looked like the wall was still there, awesome job

Fun game with interesting mechanics. I feel like the game is both too linear and too open ended. I played through twice the first time I wanted to explore more but I accidentally beat finished it. The second time I wanted to explore more but I ended up digging to nowhere and decided it would be a pain to go back and explore somewhere else. Some parts hold your hand a lot and all you're doing is walking through the game. When you explore outside of the obvious path there is no direction from the game at all. I really liked the two mechanics other than the limited batteries (maybe have laser charges drop when you move new blocks?) and fighting the monsters was my favorite part. I feel like there is a lot of things that can be done with this game.

Definetly one of the most polished games I have seen. The art style and sound design is well-crafted and the mechanic is fun. It is not too hard and the main mechanic is maybe not the most innovative, but i enjoyed playing! I like the way your view being blocked works :)

Very nice idea! I like the idea of moving parts of the wall around as a puzzle element. I also enjoyed how if you put a block in front of an opening it darkened the other side. A solid entry overall.

Very nice game. It reminds me of LittleBigPlanet for some reason. I enjoyed the ability to play outside the main path and think that that would be a cool place to expand on.

I really had fun to play through this maze ! The gameplay is simple and elegant, you're never stuck and there are secrets to find ! Really good jam entry, too bad the sound is a bit dull and the game does not fit with the theme of the jam !

Great style and atmosphere, mechanics are innovative but I found the controls a little awkward (moving a block at a time and having to tap twice or hold a key to change direction).

so sorry to comment here so late >=<
post-jam & jam version both have played.very interesting and genius. no wonder you was satisfied with it this time,i also love it so much; so many good puzzle,well level-design,also a substantial/imaginative world-concept(let me feel there are so many hidden connection with your last LD-entry,nice! )
meanwhile, more and more great animation acting and details in your artwork(smooth & vivid),that's wonderful.

#an impressive moment: two turrets which facing each other,when they shooting me,they destory themselves.wow!quite breathtaking and impressive.(maybe in l3 the west-side of it)

#some details which touched me:
* when i cutting a big rock,some cracks was appear on it! the effect is very splash! wow!
* btw,the audio-effect and the visual effect when i cutting or filling the ground-spike are really hit the spot! Love it... also i think if there are more camra-acting may could let it more juicy(for example:some camera-shaking while got hurt)
*These yellow-line on ground are beautiful and also useful(visual guidance);they works well! when i was in L3,i got the map very late,Thanks to it helped me all the time.
meanwhile,there is a point about [map-object] needs to be pointed out: it's Color/shape is so similary with the [new-yellow-switch] which in L3, it really made me feel so confused when the first time which they appears together in L3(it has been a long time since when the begainning of L2,which the time i first seen the map-object )
or maybe purple for the map is nice? mysterious with great;there are really too much yellow color exists.

#other general summary:
*this game is already let me feel immersive and stimulate my imaginary so much(just let me feel i really seem to teetering and running in a giant-cloister..)
i must to say the level design and enviroment-art provoked my sense of awe very well,a little bit like the feeling when i played the <Shadow of the Colossus>... it must be much better if some ambient-music there..
*hero's run-speed is nice in post-version,wow~ refreshing&invigorating compare with what it used to be,good job!
*finally,about these monster..i must say these normal guy really let me feel they are so adorkable! >o< Neither hate nor fear! and they also does not have attack/chasing me aggressive indeed, Except for the turrets guy... so about that,i think this is a good design/choice(about let me feel this world more vivid just like which i mentioned above) ,also a new color-setting with them maybe more great with this design? i am not sure..

Have noticed you are developing a new version based this,so excited! hope to see it asap in future! also i’d be happy to give feedback with it too, if you’d like.
