Well, Mike ran in to problems getting working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Prof. Hattrick Hatberg and the quest for the One Room

by tiffi - Compo Entry

In this Game Prof. H. Hatberg is searching for the One Room with the biggest treasure of all time in int.

I couldn't completly finish the game, there is still a lack of content, a lot of collision bugs AND ... the skeletons... *§$!% them!

Also the light seems kind of strange, I tried something new with hightmaps, but unity doesnt seem to like it. (It's worse in the web version)

Movement - wasd/arrow keys
Jump - space
ctrl - Fire

And don't loose his hat ;).

Thanks for playing ;)

I had some lighting bugs on the torches, running the webgl build on macOS chrome. Still, really liked how you bumpmapped the rocks, added to the scenery a lot. Good job!

Nice lighting! I didn't quite understand what to do when I got tired, but good job nontheless! :)

Nice game, love the visuals and the hat mechanics! I didn't see a single skeleton though :(

I like platformers :-)

I had some minor bugs on the collision/physics and two of the skeletons suddenly disappeared without apparent reason, but in general the mechanics seem to work fine.

The graphics are very nice, I like that combination of lighting with heightmaps and that cartoonish style!
The colors and the flickering lights really set the mood!

I do not really like the trial-and-error style of the level design. For example, to know _that_ there will be some kind of trap at the torches does not really help at all.
Without the hint, I would have run past it without stopping and the anvil would not have hit me.
With the hint, I stopped and approached the torched carefully, which was my death. I think it would be better to make the mechanics of the trap more obvious and make the hint less obvious instead.

The minigun's warming-up animation is too badly visible for my taste. At first, I thought the shooting was not working. Some shaking or some sparks and smoke would help a lot!

The hat-mechanics are nice idea, I think. It reminds me of the good old SNES game "Yoshi's island", where you have to get baby-mario back before he floats off the screen. I certainly like that more than life points.

I really liked the hat mechanics.
I was however disappointed that I could not walk through the fog door on the left and face a boss ;)
