Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

The Tea Room

by jimmynoshoes - Compo Entry

The Tea Room is a point and click adventure game that uses video. In it you have to make a proper cup a tea.

This game works on Desktop browsers. I've tested it in Chrome. Sorry it doesn't work on Mobiles/Tablets as it uses Youtube which didn't seem to want to autoplay on them.

It was originally going to be an escape the room game but I couldn't think of any puzzles good enough so it ended up being about making a cuppa.

Very cool! Works perfectly for me in Firefox (though I think my tea was likely way oversteeped).

This is a truly original entry, never seen a game like this before using youtube. Of course it has its limitations, but I think it's a very clever idea. Tried to play it without the hints and got pretty far actually (after reading the objective in the game's description), but had to use them in the end to finish it. As said, very original concept, love to see this on a Ludum Dare. Congrats!

This is great, why aren't there more adventure games using videos like this?

Really nice original idea, makes me want to try something like this next time. There were a couple of shots that didn't quite line up but I was impressed with the quality of it overall! Well done and enjoy your cup of tea :)

Interesting idea! I haven't seen it executed this well before, and it worked very well as a webgame. Well done, especially in picking out an innovative way to develop the game!

Nice fmv game, doesn't lose much in quality to production ones! Had to go and make myself a real life cup after completing it :D

Haha great game! Your kitchen is really intuitive. It only took me the time to make a cup of tea to make a cup of tea. It's too bad I don't have my tea with milk, so I could not finish the game.

Game is very intriguing. I didn't expect fmv game!
Some highlight for things to interact could be pretty handy. I ended up clicking everywhere to cause some interaction.

Very unique game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/7ZuTwiufN-U
