Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
You're an operator of this weird elevator where up/down buttons are determined by votes. Your guest will tell you the floor they want to go, and you should get the correct button before enemies get a wrong one! You can jump up/down with the arrow keys (when there's gravity) and shoot with the space key. The game is very pancakey and not really tested. Sorry.

I feel like the game would play better if platforms didn't block your shots, but that might break the game balance. :d
I love the idea of this game, especially for the theme. The art, music and gameplay work well together, too. I can live with platforms blocking the bullets in general, but shooting while going down was particularly hard so I really struggled as the elevator filled up with creatures.
Something for a post-compo version? When I started the title obscured the passenger's speech, which made it slightly confusing at first.
Pancakey or not, it's really charming and a lot of fun. Also what sort of building has a jungle in the basement?! :)
Hahaha, I can't stop laughing. I think this game is great! The beach, the jungle, what kind of building is this? And what are all the animals doing there? Hahaha :D Superb entry, euske, even if it is a little pancakey!
It was fun until I got a permanently black screen(at score 10 after getting a guy wanting to go to F2947(I accidentally got there before) also I'm using Opera if that matters), it still tells me the floor I'm in and I get power outages and a "Phew." after them but everything is still black. If I didn't see the moment it happened wrong then I think the camera moved in the wrong direction if that even is a thing that could happen.
Power outages when there are just 0-2 enemies are just annoying while with more enemies they are a nice way to clean them up.
Making it less finicky to shoot while going down would have been nice.
haha well 5 stars for innovation, I've never seen so many different unrelated things combined into one game. That was actually quite an enjoyable little arcade/platformer game. Loved the music and fast gameplay.
I'm still smiling, minutes after playing. This is hilarious. All the birds and rats, ending up in orbit and all the panic!
If humor was what you were going for, then you definitely reached your goal.
I made it up to 9 points before giving up because it got to overwhelming, switching between a door-opening-and-buttons-and-animals-coming-in-staccato and power outages. But that added to the charm of the game. Together with the music, which I will probably not get out of my head for months (thanks >_<')
I played the game for my video series, I hope you'll like my let's play of it.
I've played a while now and i still have no idea what I'm supposed to do. But it's still clean and funny to play. Nice song too.
Nice little game. Idea I haven't seen before. I liked the music and sprites. It really looked like an 80s game, not only stylized as such.
Great entry, little confusing at first to play and when going doing it was hard to move/shoot. Game play overall was good, music and artwork fit together really well.
Fun to play and hope continue development
This game was quite fun, though a little tricky to figure out. I'd make your down-jump a bit stronger, but most everything else was quite enjoyable.
euske this is an insane game! Elevators in japan must be very different.
I had a lot of fun killing bugs and birds and whatnot that kept eating the wrong button that came rolling (what is this). And sometimes the client would pick the wrong button too! Crank!
Great graphics and music and amazing idea for the theme. I love this elevator, I want one!
