Overly Friendly Tic Tac Attack

This game is a survival game of sorts, but the main character can only place turrets and run away. The objective is to survive through all ten waves and kill all of the enemies. In order to keep placing turrets, the player must pick up ammo drops that are scattered around the map; trying to stay in one place and ignoring ammo is a good way to lose.

All sound effects (including music) voiced by me. Game made in Unity3D, version 5.5.0a6.

The most fun game i played so far in this Ludum Dare edition! Really challenging and requires tactics / clever planning to beat this game. I will probably play this game again in the future and that does no apply to the most LD games i play. Funny sound effects but they fit the overall mood and give the game specific atmosphere. Graphics are the worst part of the game, but it still shows that you can make great game with basic graphics. Good job!

Thanks for the feedback! It took quite a few hours to balance things correctly, but I have friends who can beat it now (even if I still can't). I'm glad to hear my complete lack of artistic talent isn't enough to ruin the game.

I love turret based game play. This is incredibly fun, but also pretty hard. Which isn't a bad thing. I do wish there was a way to boost my speed so I could get ammo more safely. I know I need to place things better so I can venture out with ease, but I think adding like a speed boost or something could add to the gameplay. Great work!

Thanks! There actually is a sprint (which functions as a speed boost). You can activate it with left shift. It doubles your speed for 3 seconds and has a cooldown of 10 seconds. Sorry if I didn't make that clear in the tutorial.

Fun stuff! Obviously a bit of a learning curve, and not being able to push through enemies is frustrating. It's pretty hard too. I enjoyed it enough to play multiple rounds though, so good job on the design. It would be neat to play a more polished version.

hey there, I really liked the idea behind this game, its really fun and challenging, i do feel like its easy to get lost, or turned around, and then the enemies get you, very fun, good work!

Great audio design :)
I had hard time to understand what to do at first (like, which turret is the most useful), mainly because of the lack of visual feedback.
But once you manage to go through the visual, the fun is quite here!

Well done :)
