Well, Mike ran in to problems getting working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Toddle Topplers

by TheHighChairs - Jam Entry

Toddle Topplers is a furniture stacking game for two players (but one will still be able to have fun!).
Players must rearrange the furniture in the room in order to climb it and be the first to reach the cookie jar!

Keyboard controls:
P1: WASD + F (pick up / throw) + Space (jump)
P2: IJKL + H (pick up / throw) + B (jump)

Also supports up to 2 Xbox style controllers (your mileage may vary!)

ADVICE: Try to start stacking early, if you get covered in furniture, keep jumping to break free!

Back story:
Your parents have dropped you off at your Nan's and she's left you in the "good room" whilst she goes out to get milk. You spy cookies near the ceiling. You try to climb the china cabinet but can't quite reach the top.

Better rearrange the furniture so you can reach it.

Toddle Topplers put the FUN in FUrNiture!

Ridiculously charming and funny. I love the theme. I ended up getting inextricably buried by furniture and couldn't dig my way out. Having more of the furniture be "light" and more able to be bonked by jumping might help that - I noticed some pieces went flying when I hit them. Kudos for a two-player game also. Nice work.

Awesome! And it makes so much fun!

But please add a exit function maybe through ESC. It feels just worng to exit a programm through alt+F4 :)

Very funny, liked the music and the fact that toddlers are so strong just for cookies, but sometimes i got annoyed with the fact that it didnt want to pick up the thing i was looking at....

I don't have a friend on hand to play with, and multiplayer games are always tough to evaluate :)

But damn son, I must say I'm impressed! Good graphics, mechanically super sound, cool interaction. Can I ask for the source? I've struggled to make good platforming code and yours is amazing, it even works on slopes AND with physics. Please?

My twitter is @tuism too, please please please let me know?

The controls were a bit awkwardly arranged though. Would be better probably to map jump to up and use just one action button.

Nice idea, feels like it could be a complete game if taken a little further, high score here!
I've included it in a video with further comments here, which should be up very shortly here.
