Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

+ We are working on sounds for post-ludum dare game +
A game about life and death, featuring Grandma and fresh baked cookies. Oh, there is also giant spiders!
WASD is used to move
Space to jump
E to pickup items (you can pickup a cookie and a sword at the same time, but must drop the cookie before using the sword again)
E to drop items
LMB and RMB to attack
Sprint to run
Spiders spawn in waves at the edges of the map. Cookies are spread throughout. Waves progressively become more difficult.
Bug Fixes:
- No longer instantly drops items when picking them up
- Player more powerful (unplayable before)

I wish I could play this game, but it doesn't start. Fix it) Gonna return.
Game work. It does need some cleanup though. Monsters generally caught up before I got my weapon (although I just suck). Still fun to play overal and interesting take on the theme. Keep up the great work and I hope you are able to finish the game.
FYI. The restart button didn't work when i died
Cool start, but the spiders are so aggressive that it's borderline unplayable. I wish I could have seen more of it than running away from spiders, because it seemed like it was going somewhere interesting.
Thank you for responses! I fixed up the player's speed and attack range, which makes the spiders less of an issue. Will fix restart button
Interesting idea. I really like the graphics, the world looks really good. The animation and sound were both pretty good as well. Restart broke for me to so I wasn't able to finish, but what I did see looked pretty good nice work.
hmmmmmmm a bit all over the place with pacing and it feels fairly disconnected with all its ideas, but you did a great job for the amount of time you had.
I'm really digging the low poly style, and the animation work is fantastic! I could learn a thing or two from you guys haha. Anyways as others have said the game sort of hits a wall when you get to the cookie part. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be delivering those things or just collecting? ALSO! If you guys are having trouble with the embed make sure you have the correct link. Go to your itch.io edit game page, click the distribute tab and then embed. There will be a link there which is the link you need to put in your ludum dare page. All in all good work with this one!
Thank you for letting us know TitoMakaniJr! I was wondering about that. Tip of the beanie to ya!
I killed a set of spiders, explored some more thinking I was pretty safe, turned around and I had an army behind me lol. Stealthiest spiders ever.
I liked the intro presentation, it was actually really clean but you might wanna speed that up a little in the future, or allow skippable.
Interesting game but spiders are too Op! Intro is cool but I think it should be skippable. Good job.
The low poly art style was awesome. The intro was a bit slow if you wanted to re-visit the game. Nice job on this.
Starting presentation are really nice and when camera zoom in on guy who lies in a pool of blood I was ready that spiders came out of his ears.
But it was other genre :)
Good game with a clear objective :P I couldn't quite figure out how to hit the spiders without getting hit back, which made an interesting balance between killing them and restoring your health. Bit laggy, but overall very fun :)
I found the introduction logo to be a bit slow. The terminal's answering system feels weird, and you can right whatever you want (not necessarily Y or N).
The first time I played I went afk for a couple of minutes and when I was dead when I came back; after restarting, the fireplace was off and I couldn't move. This appears to be a bug.
I like the art style, feels similar to Minecraft's. I'd suggest tweaking the campfire's sound effect, as it suddenly dissapeared once you get to a certain distance. It wouldn't be a big deal normally, but in this game it is important for the player sense of orientation.
Spiders are intimidating, well done! Even though, some sound effects would make the game's mood a lot better. If spiders came to me while squeaking or growling I would've really freaked out.
Overall, an interesting, good-looking game. Keep going :)
I really like the low-poly art of your game, the whole map is very atmospheric. (Though I fell off the map on the first go.)
The background story sounds promissing but I got killed each time by the spiders before I got all the cookies, so I don't really know what happens. How exactly is the "one room" theme play into this game? I probably didn't get far enough in the story.
The fighting mechanic would feel better is the spiders got knocked back. Like this you hardly get feedback for each hit and you keep have to run backwards so you don't get hit yourself.
I didn't hear any sound. I restarted the game twice in Firefox, still no sound.
Overall I think this game could be quite good, however it needs quite a bit of polishing first.
Oh there is a lot of work here, neat entry. I like the low poly artstyle and the game was pretty fun overall, and quite chalenging. Damn those spiders.
glorious amounts of nope ( though to the game a resounding yes!) clever design, if it was intentional for me to run towards the house and look back to see my first spider!
Beautiful art!
The story line is kinda crazy, huh? haha
Nice job, guys!
