Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
In Disaster Drinks, the player must complete drink orders thrown at them one by one until they can't keep up and everything becomes.. well.. a disaster.
Orders come in many different variations: Cherry, Blue Raspberry, and Orange, along with ice, carbonation, and sometimes both! Whatever the order may be, customers don't like them to be wrong, nor do they like it when you waste ingredients. Oh, and watch out for those rush hours!
Controls:
E, Y, O, J, B - Control Dispensers
Enter - Speed up cups on conveyor belts
Esc - Exit from gameplay to menu
This is my first Ludum Dare game. :) (Not trying to get sympathy votes, just wanted to inform ya~) It was a fun experience and I hope to do it again next time!

this is a really neat little game. It's nice how the diffiulty slowly escalates and what starts out easy becomes a mayhem later, especially when you need to adde several ingedients.
I am not sure how the gey question mark ones are supposed to work?
Great first entry, see you next time!
Heh, the ...? order is an empty cup. It's basically the game itself questioning why someone would order an empty cup, sorry if anyone was confused with that. ;w;
its simple and hard. I like those kind of games.
BTW: next time it would be nice to remember that the 'Y' Key is on the bottom left for germans (Z and Y are switched ;) )
the concept was pretty neat ! cant wait to see ur next game
Pretty fun gameplay! controls were awkward but maybe that's part of the game.
The question mark wasn't clear for me too. Good idea with functionality of speeding up the conveyor belt.
At first, I thought the game would be easy to play. But after a couple of drinks served, things weren't so easy after all.
The fun is here, and manage drinks + ice on different "stages" is a good idea, as you need to keep an eye on everything (and by as asynchronous as you can to score max)!
Very good entry, well done!
@caranha I was unsure about making different versions at first because I didn't know if it'd get me a penalty (for working on the game after Ludum Dare's time limit), but I guess porting the game wouldn't hurt.
I'll still ask around about that but I'll try and have a web version up~
"Porting (especially to Web or Windows) can happen after the initial 48 hours."
Meh, guess I didn't read the rules enough to catch that. .-. Sorry to anyone who's running a non-Windows OS.
My one complain is that the orders have to be done, well, in order. I wish I could scrap fucked up drinks and redo the order. The difficulty could ramp up a bit faster, but otherwise it's a very fun concept! I really liked it!
Oi, just wanted to say that I appreciate all of the criticism/comments I was given, I'm just really bad at revisiting projects sometimes to implement new features and whatnot. Still, I'll keep everything said in mind.. :)
