Long ago a temple was constructed to worship strange and powerful gods. It is no longer know what rituals were performed within this twisted building, only rumors passed down through generations survive. Now, centuries later, you are tasked with venturing deep into the heart of ancient stone ruins to destroy the source of evil lurking within its walls. Will you rout the demon infestation or will their numbers overwhelm you...

Controls:
-wasd / arrow keys: movement
-Mouse to aim
-Left click: shoot
-Right click: place spike trap
-Shift + left click: teleport

amazing graphics. But I couldn't use the wasd to move the character. The controls weren't very responsive too. But it looks amazing and with a little polish, you could have something interesting. It reminds me of gauntlet.

Thanks! We're planning on continuing work on it after the jam, hopefully some more levels and a bit of polish will help it shine.

Thanks for catching the wasd thing, it must have been removed last minute. I've fixed the description.

Very unique game. I like the gameplay, but I feel like it would be nice if it was more apparent when you attack / take damage. It was a little tough to figure out what was going on at first, though eventually I got the hang of it.

Thanks slimabob, I liked your game too. Looks like we had very similar ideas, ours was going to have turrets too but we didn't end up having enough time and had to pull them.

Cheers Mattmatt. You're right it is a weird place to start, I guess we just got used to the way it is since we had the level design set pretty early on.

Game looks nice! It would be great if movement were more smooth and the character did not seemingly randomly shift position. One time I even got through a wall this way :) Also, due to starting position, if you go right in the beginning, it is possible to get outside the level.

Very nice graphics!

Strange starting point (or unsignalised). Hard. Akward controls!
There was an enemy disappearing and popping up on other routes. Found that strange too.

Nice tune. I see potencial!

Thanks SamuelSousa, I wanted to make it harder but my teammate decided against it, haha. That enemy that disappears and pops up is teleporting, I need to add an effect to make that more obvious.

Despite some bugs (ghost mode sometimes :D) I find your game really cool! Nice idea and great graphisms. Keep the good work :)

There is a bug that let's you get out of the room and circumvent it, and the controlls need some tweaking, but the graphics are gorgeous and the mood is pretty cool.

Not bad, but the controls would feel better if I could use the WSAD to move. Also having the start position on the right side and the goal on the left also felt very strange, since pretty much every game goes from left to right.

Really liked the title screen. Could use more polish control wise. Couldn't really get into it because the controls were too unsatisfying.

Easy to start playing. But please place main character in center of room. It is hard to run all labyrinth to action when play from beginning.

Love the graphics and the concept of the teleport. Really cool game.

To say something, I'd say that is somehow confusing at the start, but it gets better!.

Good intro graphics, though I had to restart the game three times to read all of it (just in case).

I'm not sure, but I think the game doesn't get easier when you restart, meaning if you lose a few times, you'll get an infinite queue of enemies.

The player/enemies sprites don't fit overall graphics, which looks much more polished.

Graphics are terrific! That main menu and controls are really professional and are a great start in order to make players want to play your game.

Ingame graphics are nice too! To improve the game, try making it more evident when enemies and the player take damage. Also, try making the controls a little tighters so you really feel like an elemental master.

graphically it is very pretty, however there are just too many enemies spawning for me to even get to spawners to kill them. I managed to kill one.
