The Tomb

by raconteurnick - Jam Entry

As members of a society obsessed with death and a village full of people who spend all their free time constructing their own tombs, you and your neighbors have an oddly upbeat outlook on life. See what makes your morbid culture click and live out a life determining what kind of person you’ll be, all while building, filling, and maintaining your very own mausoleum in The Tomb - and remember, as your neighbors will remind you, that death’s door is one upon which we all shall knock!

Nice game! :)
For me, the player is facing left when I am walking right, and right when walking left.

That was a really good short story.

Nice story-line, love the wordings and that you've actually built a world around Death. Felt a tad Terry Pratchetty over the whole thing. A bit lack of gameplay, but the nice story more than well made up for it!

Pretty hillarious dialogs, but the beginning is a bit small and I didnt know what I was expected to explore in the "tomb".

Well. The story is really cool but I wish I could really build a tomb. Or I didn't understand the controls.
Either way, that was a good one

I also got a bit of a Pratchett vibe. Being my favorite author, I'd say that's a good thing. Definitely an enjoyable read. The sprites were all well done too. The UI didn't scale well to 1920x1080 though, the continue button was minuscule and the text was rather small.

Cool and pretty interseting story games. Graphics especially were good. I took me a while to really figure what was going on but after that, I really enjoyed it.

There's a lot of world building going on here! It wasn't entirely clear to me if I could do more than just progress through the dialogue and walk around the room, but the premise was fascinating, and I loved the characters.

Waited for the gameplay to pop up, but it did not. I did not get the game may be.
