Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
Welcome to the orbital defence simulator, the room you'll be spending the rest of your life, er I mean the next few days in!
Learn how to destroy asteroids with nuclear weapons, even ones that fight back.
I had intended to submit this as a compo entry but ran out of time. Consequently I included the marvelous free music of Evgeny Teilor from Freemusic.com, thanks Evgeny!

Loved your game (i like this type of games a lot!)
Nice use of graphics for the console, very polished. Audio made me smile ;)
Didn't work for me, I think it's because I've used python before. Don't even worry about it.
Infinite nukes feels wrong. But hey, they're just "asteroids", right?
Interface is a pain to use with a touchpad, but otherwise it works fine. Solid physics, and it's a nice touch that the projected trajectory is less precise than the actual one (intentional or not).
Clean and simple visuals. Nice effects on the CRT.
Good job!
great mechanics, manual firing was fun to use. Enjoyed the audio. Keybaord input would be nice to have, especially for entering in co-ordinates. Good job overal
A fun and very relaxing game. The music and voice acting is super great. Well done.
I get this error on Linux: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/90b4a6d368d0ced1e2c23ccebd613cfa
I imagine it has to do something with my openGL version?
@edve98 yes possibly, though I'm not sure exactly what. If you could let me know your Linux distro and version that would be great, then I can try and it fix it for my next game. Thanks
Very well done. The old raster style monitor was a nice touch. I could not figure out the manual firing solution, it wasn't clear where the heck it was aiming... keyboard controls would have been nice.
Very nice and immersive user interface! The gameplay was also very fun.
The home-made sound effects were a nice touch as well.

I love this one. The ability to manually enter a firing solution is a great addition, and the art style is simple- yet enjoyable. Great job on a superb project!
