Cool game.Running out of batteries is my new nightmare :D
Really cool game. I get immersed quick and you keep me engaged (you also scared me a lot, lol). Good work.
Audio and graphics work nicely to create a solid atmosphere. Good work. :)
@Aldarion Thank you. I am glad I could scare you. :)
@NidzaKornjaca Thank you. Sorry for the nightmare :D will send you more batteries :)
@Simboubou Thank you. :)
@creativwhisper Thank you. Glad I could scare you a lot :)
@MrJoshuaMcLean Thank you. :)
This game is impressive. I really love the atmosphere. It's amazing. Graphics are on a good level as well. I like the "shifting" effect. Batteries could last a bit longer. It's a bit painful to kill yourself for a battery charge =) And the last fight. You should lower cooldown or monster hit points. It's wasn't much fun waiting for cooldown. But anyway it's a great game. Thanks for the game and thanks for your feedback on my game. Good Luck!
@skorpyo Thank you. Yeah the cooldown timer is a bit much. I wanted to add something else while it cooldown but didn't get the time to implement it. I literally finished the game in the last 2 minutes of the submission! Also Best of Luck! :)
This is a really nice game, you're creating a really scary mood (the enemies are modelled way to good, they look too fancy ;)). Well done!
Really interesting and creepy concept. Wish the batteries lasted a little longer, but all-in-all a really solid, atmospheric game!
@liquidmedia Thank you. Tried to make the mood as scary as possible
@Geosearchef Thank you. Sometimes a horror game requires a fancy monster. :D
@Thought Reactor Thank you. Yeah the batteries drains lot quicker, I forgot that others won't know the layout of the game world as me so based the battery drain rate according to that, silly me :)
Scary atmosphere. Immersive like a freaky movie. Well done - except when you hold an object because it passes through the wall. You could create a second camera for those object's. Overall, a solid game ++
@Geckoo1337 Thank you. Thanks for the tip. Yeah I didn't have the time to fix that issue, thought will fix at the end but time just flew away like a rocket! :)
Whoever bought those batteries should switch stores, they are almost empty when put in! But it is a really nice game, wasn't expecting this when I started it.
@tomdeal Thank you. Yeah those batteries are complete bust. Will ask for refund. :)
Very unnerving mood, it really unsettled me when I have to ration something as critical as light. I wasn't able to figure out how to lure the thing onto that bright spot. Was I supposed to get to go "on" to the switch, or just near it then run on myself?
@TeamBALD Thank you. Yeah light is very critical here :) For the switch you must bring the creature near it or at least in that room and then step on switch.
@TriSquare True that, this weekend I will go to the shop and return these bad batteries and get me some better batteries. :)
I got scared. Multiple times actually!
The first thing that scared me was a note, that "they can't see you". I was like who and turning around like mad.
The graphics has few small glitches though, but the mood is perfect.
I closed the game when I wanted to hide the instructions :D
The "touch mirror" animation was amazing :)
atmosphere is priceless (audio, graphics and ambience)
controls are a bit hard for me but I was the most annoyed by the mouse leaving the edge of the game window :D
Good work overall :)
( with that being said, let me get back to the game now :D )
Great mood & atmosphere. Objectives are a bit ungrounded and batteries probably need to last longer. I felt I did things fairly quickly but I ran out pretty fast. I'd love a bit more "story" behind the game. From my perspective this is what happened:
- Spawn, look over the first objectives
- Take flashlight (BAM, dark - spook+1), light it and take batteries
- Read note, take objective. Ok, objectives aren't visible until the last one is taken, which means I'll have to re-check everything every time I take one up
- "Touch mirror" ok
- Another world, spoookyy
- Who are "they" - Am I still chasing small christmas presents?
- What's this flying metal mosquito?
- Oh, it's probably "them". I died but respawned?
- Realize I forgot I can sprint with shift
- Find note and a few other objectives -> out of batteries, game over.
> Why do the batteries need to last longer, can't I just replay the game and do things faster?
No. This game is all about atmosphere and mood. When I need to keep replaying the game, making a speedrun out of it that is completely gone.
I'm gonna give it another go to try get to the end! Great entry, enjoyed it!
I played through the entire game now. To add to my previous comment: Nice little game. Having to wait 20 seconds for the damage-thing was boring. I just turned off my flash light and stood looking at it for 20 seconds every time.
@shnitzhell Thank you.
@Michalidis Thank you. To hide the instructions you need to press R again, should've mentioned that in the game. For the mouse leaving the window you may play it in full screen mode. I literally submitted the game in last 2 minutes so forgot to change that setting xD. Hope you will be able to finish the game second time. :)
@UrbanHelsing Thank you for enjoying the game. Yeah I later figured the 20 seconds cooldown was a bit too much should've kept it 5-10 seconds. Was running out of time for the submission so forgot to change those settings for much more balance gameplay. I really love your feed back it gives me a small background how the player is feeling in each step which is nice to know :). Thank you very much for finishing the game it means a lot :D
Nice aesthetic and generally good gameplay. The fight with the thing was boring, but yeah, the deadlines are quite strict and I full well understand that oversights can and will happen. The monster wasn't quite to my taste either, maybe it lacked "bulk" or something, it didn't really feel threatening. On a 1280x1024 display the notepad wasn't fully visible though (programmed with 16:9 aspect ratio in mind?). The objectives were simple enough though, so not seeing them fully didn't hinder my experience all that much.
@nassi Thank you. Yeah you are right I programmed with 16:9 aspect ratio thought the writings would keep universal for other aspect ratio, I shall keep that in mind for next time I guess :) it is good to know. Yeah I tried to make the monster as scary as possible but I am more like an amateur when it comes to 3D modeling :) especially organic 3D model. Need to practice more for that. Glad that you still managed to experience the game. :D
Nice work. You did a great job with the background audio, very eerie.
Really nice game! Would give a 6/5 for mood if I could.
I think the game needs an audio cue for when the enemy is following you. Maybe like a sharp violin sting or something to shock the player? Since I found I had to run into it to make it follow me which kind of took me out of the experience.
@afinkyu_Pheaky Thank you. Gave my best to make sure the audio was spooky enough. :)
@KobiHawk Thank you. Yeah I should have given audio to the enemy but didn't have the time to, thanks for giving the tip on what soundfx to give to that :D Yeah the enemy fight could have been a tad bit better. :)
Nice idea playing with the mirror and the paralel worlds. May be could be good to have larger batteries, or find more of them. But good job!
@SandBloom Thank you. Yeah I need to buy better batteries next time. :)
Looks very good and has a very disturbing atmosphere.
Well done.
I run our of batteries and can't continue :( I can't see anything! Nice atmosphere, I don't see many games like that on the jam some good job on attempting something new!
@Mr MadCat Thank you. Yeah tried to make the atmosphere as much disturbing as possible.
@Palarus Thank you. The torch discharge rate was a bit too much I should have kept it a bit lower. I will try to get better batteries next time :)
I want to thank everyone that have played my game and reviewed it. I want to specially thank those that took their time and gave their feedback of the game, that really means a lot to me and is much much appreciated. I know I didn't win any category but this gave me an idea on what fields I need to improve for the next LudumDare. Again thank you all so much and take care.
K Out!

Nice game, pretty good atmosphere.
Was scared for a moment there so mission accomplished :)
First time I did not pick up the batteries so when my flashlight ran out I could not pick see them to pick them up :D
Good job!
