Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
The goal of Watchers is to reach the top level of a mountain (which is indoors in a half-hearted attempt to stick with the theme), while avoiding detection by sentries.
This is my first ever LudumDare entry. I'm happy to have made a at least playable game although there are many things I'd like to add to it eventually, like music, more than one sound effect, more depth to the game mechanics and so on. This will have to do for now though.
Game engine: Unity
Graphics: Blender and CorelDraw.
Sound effect (yes effect, sorry): sfxr

Nice idea to develop further. I like the neat clean graphics.
Quite an interesting idea. There should at least be a "game over" state though.
Nice game with cool graphics ! I often got spotted by a turret before even knowing it was here while climbing. But good idea !
Even though simplistic, the graphics are pretty interesting. The gameplay is pretty mice, and the controls simple. Good job
A very neat concept and good execution given the time frame and it being your first Ludum Dare. :)
Congratulations on finishing your first Ludum Dare. I would say consider changing the camera to 3rd person. In first person things can get pretty disorienting up close.
By the way you should probably make a Linux and a Mac build also. Since you use Unity there's really nothing you need to change except changing the build platform to the target OS and then rebuild. I was able to get it working in Linux with wine but it might not work for everyone.
Thanks for the kind words and suggestions, guys. :) I plan to continue working on the game after LD. There were a bunch of things I wanted to add but was afraid I wouldn't have the time to make them work and I'd rather submit a barebones game that works than one with a bunch of glitches.
Linux and MacOS builds would of course be good to include. I made a web version but had problems with the mouselook so I didn't do anything with it. Maybe I should've just put it up there anyway with a warning. Things to think about for the next LD.
Simplistic, but I dig the point and click controls. But I think the game could be a little harder
Neat concept that fits nicely with procedural generation. It's fun, satisfying to move around quickly and to reach the top, and has its own charm somehow. Congrats on your first LD!
Not bad, I like the point and click movement.
I couldn't get caught when I tried though, I stood right in front of one of them.
Good game. I made it to the top without being detected on the first try. I am not to fond of the movement system however. It seemed like it threw me up onto higher levels without me clicking there.

Nice graphics, a fun, quick, interesting game to play. If you made some block collapse randomly (like 1/10 chance) it could be more interesting.
