Well, Mike ran in to problems getting working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Two guys from Turku, Finland decided one day that they're going to do a game together. Well, a week or two after that one of the two said "Hey, Ludum Dare is on it's way, let's participate! And so they did!

From Aarni Pärnänen and Juhani Koskinen, comes the epic Hack'n'Slash game that will propably be full of bugs, but still pretty awesome! The raid is on it's way to your lair with only epic loot on their minds. Can you defend the Boss Room!?

Fun little game. I enjoyed the variety of playable monsters as well as the enemy variety. The only fault I found was that the skull's laser was pretty hard to aim even after you realize how it works. I often found myself firing the laser on a slight diagonal and missing every enemy then being unable to fire for a while. That being said when the laser works the power trip of being the skull at the end is great.

Nice entry, was able to liquidate a few waves of puny humans with the glorious beasts! ;) Found that exterminating mages and arrow shooters first is definitely the way to go for a higher score, but it gets hard to aim with the skull's badass killer ray and they get you in the end. Very enjoyable entry, pure arcade fun. If I was to suggest an enhancement, maybe it would be hit detection: sometimes is hard to kill or flee from enemies without losing some health. Great job!

Great idea, but the art must be a bit more cool!

Boom! 11,100 pts!

Nice little game, pretty complete! Would just like some better feedback on what the area of effect on my attacks is, and also a dodge or block button would add a lot.

I really like the look and gameplay of this.

Fun game and nice music. Also interesting minimalist art.

The lizards hair was clearly lifted from Donald Trump.

This is a really great idea for a game. Was surprised after my first death, good variety in characters you play as. It is pretty hard to play as the skull. Could also use a bit more polish/emphasis on attacks/inflicting damage. At first I thought I could pick up the sword on the right.

Bear boss? Cool!
Lizard dragon looking thing? Total pushover!
Flying skull with head lasers? Now this is power!

Professional execution, interesting concept and charming visuals. Good job!

This was really fun. Reminded me of SmashTV, like a lot of the entries in this LD. Cool graphics, fun idea. I was able to survive the wave as the middle reptile guy, but I always died as the bear, and the skull was super hard. Got 10,800 on my best run. Graphics were fun (I liked the different sized guys). It would have been helpful if they'd responded in some visual way to being hit - I wasn't sure if what I was doing was helping if they didn't die. The music was fine, but didn't seem to fit the game well. Definitely one room! Fun game, nice work! I loved the different monsters to play, very fun.

That was pretty cool. I like games where I get to be the antagonist out to destroy the heroes. The monster designs were nice, and I enjoyed the fact that you play multiple types in one playthrough rather than one per. I think multiple attack types per monster would have added a little extra oomph to it though. Anyway, good work.

Wow, the life of a raid boss is hard. At least I had to deal with trashmobs instead of actual tanks and healers. I had fun with the bear, but I found the other two monsters a bit harder to manage.

The gameplay is fine but doesn't feel so natural at all, there's something nice about the game that kept me playing and it's the amount of characters, although the lizard feels almost the same as the rat but with more range, cool game, wouldn't play it again though.

I like this. I love the power of your blows and how different each boos feels. I like the skull the best. Maybe the gameplay lacks a bit of depth.

Great game, nice variety of bosses

I like the art style. I couldn't figure out the strategy for avoiding melee damage. Cool concept

Hehe great little game, would have loved to see more skills and variations for the bosses but for the limited time there's a surprising amount of content! Laser eyes for the skull was an awesome idea :D

Interesting concept and well implemented.
The main problem I see is the lack of feedback when an enemy attack hit you.

I think the intro screen is way too slow (even skipping is slow :P)

Playing as a monster is a first pleasant surprise. Playing as 3 different monsters is a second surprise! Had fun killing heroes (especially mages), thanks. :)

Really neat bosses! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :)
