Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Simulation of my life. You are a hikikomori a shut in type of guy who doesn't want to face reality. Just play games and sleep as long as you can.
click on the bed to sleep. click on tv to play games. click on door to.. well go outside (but you don't want that)

That collision on the dad made me laugh. Wish I could be like this kid again.
I like the idea, that collision made me lose since I couldn't move the dad away. Nice work!
I am actually doing a project on Hikikomori right now, nice Dad animations :D
Interesting concept, very minimalist. Dad's lines were a nice touch, though.
I have dishonored my family. hahahaha. I like the graphics and the concept. Awesome submission.
I like the art style of the characters, but I wish the font wasn't so 'Flash' -ish. I failed at being a shut-in loser, unlike real life. Very funny!
I failed at it :( I think my banker brother wouldn't let me play games, and I couldn't get him out of the room.
Nice that you got to put some of your personal experience in the game! Fits the theme like a glove.
I tried to go outside but I can't click the option...? I loved the pixellated graphics :)
The graphics are great in a charming way, I did however find the inputs to be rather unresponsive and the text prompts a bit intrusive. I managed to play video games but the bed wouldn't work and then the dad fell over, which was kinda funny.
Had difficulty getting dad out of the room the first time, he just fell over and hid under my bed. I wanted to do that! I like the take on the theme =).
Haha laughed soo much. This is a game that would be even more fun with great voice actors being the parents just yelling at you.
Great idea! I think it represent lot of lives out there.... especially in this kind of competition.
I'm failed to be Hikikomori. Hard to understand how to interact with items. Please add some easy tutorial.
Confusing game, kinda bugged out on me, my character just spazed out when I tried to go to bed!
Cool art though.
Idea kinda nice, but I'm confused about overall gameplay.
But... nevermind, dad collision fixed all XD!
Not so clear how the game work in the beginnign.
Btw nice art and idea! Well done!
"Are you just going to stay in your room and CODE GAMES forever?!"
More like an interactive art piece then a game. Great mood to it, thanks.
Well, it was quite hilarious. I liked the idea, but I could only sleep once and play once two. While I was reading the note at the start the days where going on. The dad though XD Keep going.
Guy with white shirt appear after that I can't interactive anything. :')
I've gotta say I had a hard time playing a lot of this, almost like the boxes on the usable objects were weirdly shaped or something. I also had problems with the brother falling over and becoming hard to push out. However the art style and time management aspects were both good.
Pretty nice take on the theme! I had a bug and I couldn't rest on the bed.
I hit a bug when I was asleep and my brother came in the room: the fun meter didn't decrease past halfway. Therefore I did the only logical thing: sleep for two months straight. I have transcended to become the ultimate hikikomori!
The collision was a bit buggy when clicking on the objects, but overall, funny game :P
Good idea! I had just a problem with triggering the interactions after a while and couldn't recover my tiredness and happyness bars! :o
This is genius! The quotes where hilarious and I loved the art.
Played video games in a video game. Stared at a wall for a month. Surfed around on my dad. 10/10 GOTY.
Really silly and fun I didn't get that there were meters at the bottom at first though haha
How do I get my dad/elder brother out of the room? He just rotates and moves a bit and then I lose. Otherwise quite funny game, nicely done. Gave me a good laugh. Thanks!
Hard to click to execute the sleep or play options.
Other than that, seems a good idea.
Nice idea, but I had trouble clicking on the bed and TV, and I couldn't get the brother to leave.
Ha! I failed at being a hikikomori. Great graphics and animations for a 72 hours!
Umm, well, I couldn't do anything except colliding with the dad :D It was fun while it lasted though :)
Pretty neat game. I found the controls a bit unresponsive as sometimes going near the bed/games wouldn't trigger them properly. Loved having to push people out of your room!
Graphics are simple but nice looking, idea is simply too, but nice implemented, but collision acted strange.
The idea is really funny. But I think the game glitched out for me and the father didn't appear.
Liked the use of the theme. Gameplay was unclear though, but the parent's nagging you was interesting. Would have liked to respond to their statements.
Interesting!? :D I got few technical problems - couldn't click on TV. Very good use of theme.
Nice entry! Very good use of the theme. It somehow reminds me the anime "Welcome to the nhk" that deals about hikikomori as well. It still need some polish (mouse interraction with objects not always working and silly physic of the dad), but anyway good job! ;)
Funny simple game. Life simulator and point n' click. Good work!
I have no idea what is going on, I ended up with 3 dialogue boxes on top of each-other and I couldn't seem to consistently click on anything. The concept is there, I like it, but the execution seems a little clunky. I do find it hilarious how you can push the father character around though!
Suddenly the meters stopped decreasing, so now I can be a Hikikomori forever!
A bit clunky in execution, but a funny one. Good job!
Cool idea.
Using the bed or the door is a bit hard, but overall a nice entry.
The dad just falling over kinda got me ha. Good concept, it seemed kinda buggy though.
I clicked on the bed and the tv but nothing happened... The collision with dad was funny though ;)
Interesting game. I was a complete hikikomori for at least 2 years of my life, so I can relate.
Good job with graphics. It's a shame that there's no sound in your entry, though. also, I like how you can just walk over dad like he's a piece of paper, haha.
Good job!
P.S. I don't like to mention my game in other people's comments, but given that you made a game about being a shut-in, I think you might enjoy mine. Click on my name if you're interested.
Hope to see you around. Good luck!
Fucking dad wouldn't leave the room and I got tired, real tired of your shit dad. Nice concept & graphics not really sure how you're supposed to get him out of the room.
Hmm interesting angle of attack on this topic :P You need to work on UI so it would be more readable on the first try i didnt hit anything that i could interact and white letters on bright background are usually bad idea...
Dad fell over. Hilarity ensued. In all seriousness, i liked the game actually, but the controls were quite unresponsive. But a good entry and funny :)
Outside is the bigger inside, right? Right!? RIGHT!
Sadly didn't feel much like a game :|

A bit buggy in places but 10/10 I love how this actually reflects real life :'D
You got me laughing out loud when playing this, so good job. :P Aside from that, I wasn't really sure how to push the brother/father? out the door. It just sort of disables all commands and then I lose automatically. I love the dialogue that shows up on the side though. I just wish the method of progression was more clear.

Video game as a blog entry - I like it :) The metaphors are strong with this one
Really funny! A little buggy though. blame it on the stupid banker brother
Love the character animations and movement.
Didn't like the walls of text but I enjoyed what the character had to say, I think its well written - sounds real.
I only managed to play games wasn't able to interact with anything else except for taking out my dad while walking in against him :)
LoL. I love the concept. I completely forgot about hikikomori.
I like this, it definitely has an art-game feel to it, especially with the quotes on the left of the screen. The graphics are nice too.
It was hard to click on things, and then eventually the meters simply stopped going down, even with Big Brother there... so I guess I won?
It's an interesting idea, but I think the execution needs some work.
Audio would be an improvement; my main gripe with the graphics is that the resolution of all the pixel art is not the same, which in my opinion looks seriously unprofessional.
WoW! I cannot give enough stars to you! Loved the sense of humor--reminded me of 'emogame' from back in the day. Gotta love a video game where you stay in your room and play video games(even if the collisions were occasionaly wonky).
Cool concept but I dont know if it' a bug or intended, but when the dad enters,I can't click on anything.
Keep up the good work!
Interesting concept although it turns out I'm not very good at being a hikikomori :)

Wow, I failed at being a hikikomori... what does that say about me. I'm going to think about this while I go play some games, then maybe lay down for a bit of a nap. Nice work on the game!
