Thanks for the comments :) I think the movement would have seemed better if it had been in the pokemon style, where the room moves, not the character.

Simple art, smooth gameplay. Movement felt a bit weird but overall good.

Ooooh Pico 8! I love the pico 8. Been meaning to make a pico 8 game for a while.

Like your graphical style and the overall feel is great.

Why can there not be one dual purpose interaction and inspection button? I found it confusing when to press both but maybe thats just me.

Also what am I meant to do with the ***SPOILER*** teapot?

Yeah, I'm not entirely happy with my use of buttons here. Watching a friend play it today made that very evident.

Sadly, the teapot does nothing except look pretty. It resulted from a joking conversation with a friend, and it fit the theme. The vault protects the teapot :P

hmm, i like the idea, was really excited about it, but the mystery kind of died? did I miss something? I like the art and style. Reminds me of Police Quest. I think you should continue work on this and expand it. Make a cool detective adventure game =)

Unfortunately i ran out of time to really flesh out the story, so I've mostly left it to the player to make up their own ideas of what happened. Thanks for trying it though :)

Short but sweet. Seconding the suggestions that you should expand on this, it's really cute and I want more of it.

I like the sprite work!

At first it was not obvious in-game that you could press enter to open the item menu, so thought picking up the teapot made it impossible to pick up the rope. Maybe add a message somewhere in-game to explain it?

Thanks for the game!

Not sure what really happened, but its an interesting game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/HllFgHUemY4

Pretty easy to follow, nice to see some sort of criminal investigation games at one of these. Great work!

The graphics is nice but the game is a bit short. However well done finishing the game!

Very nice job! I really enjoyed it, just wish it had more to it! (Not entirely sure what happened at the end) Great game!

Interesting, but short. The puzzle is very straightforward (except for the teapot, I have no idea of what it is for) but it has merit for being developed for pico.
