Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

You find yourself locked in an abandoned library… but is there more to it than meets the eye?

The music is the best yet, and the art is excellent. Good job!
Definitely agree that the sound was really great, and the gameplay was cute, albeit plenty simple. Still there was a nice RPGish like feeling to it, where each part of the room had something new to offer, and there was a sense of story given the limited constraints of the theme. There were some bugs, and the fireball gameplay wasn't terribly fun or responsive, but overall I enjoyed playing it all the way through, and I think the foundation was all really well thought through. Nice work.
Good job guys, I really liked music, graphics and mechanics. I did not understand well the torches cost me to find them xD but really very well I thought creative the idea and the execution. Good job to all, very good game.
Really fantastic music, helped the feeling of change in the room. The torches needed to be more obvious. The fireball also could have done with some love.
I just finished up this entry and I must agree with others that the music was done well and the graphic were pretty cute. I also ran into a few issues with some unclear directions, and a walk animation that doesn't properly cycle when swapping direction. Overall I enjoyed this entry and I think the verticality of the level was clever.
PS: Go Team Ghost
great job! the music is very addicting also and it fits the game perfectly
Good entry. The attack felt a little stuck and I was hit by a ghost which was a bit too far away from me (first level). Maybe check the collision shapes?
Also, the level design could have a little work. The room feel too big to wonder around. If you forget or didn't kill a ghost that is too far away, it is kinda tiring to walk all the way back.
A little more work on these points and the game would turn interesting. Good job!
I got stuck at the part where you light the torches. I believe I got them all burning but not all had a light glow around them, so maybe it failed to register? This was the web version btw.
The music makes the game, very SNES-like. Adding the jukebox therefore was a good choice! Gameplay is mostly a lot of walking around but all together it was good. Well done.
In the next version I would like to see a more responsive handling. In general, the game is normal.
Good music, good art, and overall mood is nice too
Still, controls could use more polish, as it feels sloppy a little bit
And... your game is soo short... need more!
P.S. Water stage is the hardest to figure out what to do
Liked the music and the graphics. Storytelling was also pretty good :)
Cool game, great music! Seriously, that's a crazy amount of music for a weekend. Congratulations.
Really good! I liked the direction you went with the theme, filling the room with water and then freezing them to add two more levels? I would have never thought of that! The ambient light and music together did a good job of setting the mood. Overall great fun! Nice job!
@zenmumbler did you get all the ones on both the right and left sides? idk when I was playing the first time around, I missed a couple on either ends. I have managed to light all torches in the web version though. But I think the torches do need to be made more obvious.

Nice game!
I like the atmosphere and the music is great! Well done! :D
Nice mood and music. I really enjoyed playing the game. Sadly I did get trapped between the top bookshelf and the wall when I got the third spell. Nevertheless it was a nice experience
Nice music and graphics. You really have to be very close to the book in order for it to register that you are there but that can be fixed easily
Good music, art is also nice :)
Firing is not very intuitive, time between shots varies greatly.
Loved puzzle with torches, though =)
Nice Game! Music is lovely! The controls sometimes feel a bit clunky, but it's manageable.
Keep up the good work people!
Nice game! I think it's my favourite music so far, good job!
I got stuck at the water part, and had to read people's comments to continue... the torches weren't obvious enough for me.
The pixel art is a bit wonky in the Web version due to the scaling, but I downloaded the mac version and played that, which worked fine. Also yeah, often the text didn't fit on the screen.
I felt the ending was a bit anti-climactic though, hitting a wall of text was a bit disappointing. But it's a jam game, so understandable.
This is one of the better looking and sounding games. :D
I don't have much else to say about it... xD
You guys made an enjoyable game! The graphics and the audio is impressive, the gameplay is quite fun, the puzzles are interesting and it kept me engaged until the very end of the game. The only thing that I had a problem with is the plot, so the library killed tens of people and turned them into haunting ghosts just because it needed company and the character just says: "Yeah, that's no big deal, I forgive you!", but hey this is a 72 hour game after all. Great job, keep it up guys!
I had a few problems with the controls, where the animations wouldn't match the movement. The slow fire rate on the fireball was a bit frustrating as well, as was finding the last torch. You've got some nice stuff here with the visuals, audio, and concept though. Good job on making a pretty complete experience.
Oh, that ending! :D I didn't expect that at all! Nice take on the theme too, reaching the end was kinda satisfying, but kinda not-so-clear, but has a good progress. :D
Graphics are nice, really well done, looks beautiful and has the right mood for the game! Music is also really a great point of the game, it adds even more to the mood, really fitting for the theme. :P
Controls work nice, but firing takes too long! Firing one at a time kinda makes the pace of the game feel too slow, specially when you miss a fireball.
Overall, really good! Good work! :)
Really enjoyed this. Nice music and fun gameplay. I wish the narrative was a bit stronger but overall nice work.
This is a really strong entry! I think the selling point for this game was the music. It really helped to set the tone and was amazingly well-made. I liked that each section had its own music, it's impressive that you got so much music done in the time.
I also loved the graphics - the pixel art style was cute, and everything is consistently scaled based on its pixel density. There was also a variety because of the different stages of the game and it's great that there were bespoke graphics for some sections. However, as others have said, the player walk cycle is a little odd because it doesn't switch to the direction you're moving/facing immediately. But the actual cycles look pretty darn nice. The lighting effects also blended well with the pixel style.
As for the gameplay, it was basic but fairly engrossing; enough for me to want to complete the game, anyway. I had a few issues with aiming fireballs because of the controls though, I would have liked to aim using my mouse in a direction to fire the fireballs. Also, the colliders for the ghosts felt a tad large, as I got hit a few times when I thought I was relatively far from the ghost.
In all though, I really liked the entry and think it's one of the stronger entries I've played. Great job!
Very strong entry all around - surprised how many layers there were to this. Besides the water section being a bit too cryptic, the mechanics worked pretty well, and could be great with a little more polish. And of course, the soundtrack is amazing!
Really good use of lighting and excellent music plus I loved how the same library changes each level.

Nice entry! The music was particularly good, and it was a good incorporation of the theme.
Some criticism: I didn't like that you could only shoot one fireball at a time instead of putting it on a time delay; It got kind of annoying having to wait so long every time you miss a shot.
The torches being the key to progress in the water segment wasn't made clear at all. I don't think I would have know what to do if I hadn't accidentally shot one when trying to hit a ghost.
