Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Mead and Murder!

by Cyros - Jam Entry

Mead and Murder!

A 3D Battle Platformer where drunk vikings murder their glorious warrior brethren and drink more mead in a dining hall of champions!

Use one of two vikings, Slagga or Yxa, to beat your friend to a pulp and out drink them.

Player 1: Mouse and Keyboard (WASD to move, Mouse to aim, LMB, RMB)
Player 2: Xbox Controller (Left stick to move, Right Stick to aim, LB, RB)

--------------------------------------------------

Right now there are two characters which could use some explaining, because I had no time to make a tutorial for this game.

Yxa holds two axes. Left and Right will throw these axes, Yxa needs to pick them up to throw them agian.

Slagga holds a hammer. Right will throw his hammer. Left will teleport Slagga forward a short distance. Slagga also needs to pick up his hammer to throw it again.

This is the jam version only. It is stupidly huge because my mind is disorganised as the file structure of this game. I will clean it up tomorrow or something.

I will be updating it as I have some ideas for polishing it and new characters. I will post the new page, for the release version here when I make it.

Thanks for taking a look at my game! If you rate me I'll be sure to rate you back, but please have mercy on me, this is the first 3D game I've made. Also I will have a Windows/Mac/Web build as soon as I can but I currently stay in my Linux cave.

Happy Ludum Dare to ALL!

Is there any way you could do a windows or macos build? I'd love to try it out

I am currently working on the windows build, as I type this my room mate with the engine and windows is sleeping. Hopefully I can compile it today and release it. The lights just weren't working during the cross platform port.

Just found out that I can cross compile on my system, working on a Windows 64 bit right now.

Wew! A 3D game made in Godot <3. Couldn't test it with two players but I can imagine the gameplay quite well. Getting some physics on the hammer for the player and not just the objects might be a nice touch as well.

The game has lots of potential! For now it feels really raw but I still enjoyed walking around completely alone and drunk as hell.

Thanks! Yeah it was a hectic weekend but I will for sure be working on this because I think I have something kind of fun :)

Off to a really good start. Graphics are nice, and I had a good bit fun playing it with my roommate. If the physics where a little better (weapons really need to slide on collision, rather than getting stuck), and attacks were a bit more 'meaty', it could be really addictive.

Hehe, pretty fun game for two, lacks a bit of feedback when you get hit.

Thanks guys! This was my first attempt at a 3D thing, so I'm pretty stoked with how it came out, any cc is welcome because I'm looking to make this into a small game by the end of the year :)

Looks like fun, but I couldn't enjoy it fully without an AI or netplay. I like the 3D graphics and how it all works in general.

Why are you distributing a 23 MiB sh script? Apart from this being insane, it doesn't work for me. Judging from the relative sizes between your builds, you might have forgotten about something in the Linux one, or I'm just regularly being a retard. I used Wine eventually.
