In a bleak distant future, humanity has lost the need for human interaction, relying on AIs and robots to handle the needs of daily life. All humans live isolated in one room each. As the population grows, some try to expand their territory at the expense of others, and conflict breaks out. Now, combat over room size is ritualized, and everybody has a tank.

Made with Unity. Web player seems to work OK; PC download available if it doesn't. 3D graphics modeled in Wings3D; Sound via GoldWave Audio and my mouth; Music composed on

Not as elaborate or polished as I'd like, but I'm happy with it. My wife had surgery this past week, which cut down on my time to write. She's doing well, which is far more important than this game.

Fantastic story, I loved the intro! The intro was so good I was basically disappointed when the game turned out to not be more story.
As for the game itself, it tended to be tedious. There was one moment where I had to think about what I had to do, but it turned out that the right strategy was to do what I was already doing, but to wait for the powerups to come by. From that perspective, the game is functional, but there's not much in terms of interest.
The story, however, is phenomenal. There's a disconnect between 'everyone lives and dies alone' to 'time to kill all my neighbors with the tanks we magically have', which makes me wish there was a different game alongside this story. I suppose you did what you could, and the 'twist' at the end fit with the theme very well and did tie it in, so good job with that. Congrats on finishing your entry!

Good work on the game! Some more game mechanics to keep the entertainment going, but I know there's only so much you can do in 48 hours.

Surprisingly fun game. Neat mechanic, reasonable difficulty. Took a couple times to get past the dense level but I managed to beat it! The storyline really put it over the top, great work!

Great entry, I really loved reading through the setting. That crisp font and those bright colors make each level transition a pleasure to see. The gameplay was a bit repetitive and sometimes it was taking a long time to push a wall against another last-survivor. Otherwise, loved the humor, nice graphics, lovely music. Great game overall :)

Neat. I wasn't sure what to expect, but using physics to survive was interesting. I got to that level thats the 3rd screenshot on this page. I didn't last a second :P.

Wow really nice. It's truly fun to play, and I was kind of sad when I ran out of levels. It's different, and it's great fun. The controls are easily understandable, and this game reminded me of several from childhood. I recommend making a part 2, and spending a month or so on it! :D
The single complaint I have is that you get thrown a wall of text before any gameplay. Of course since it's not a wall of complex controls, it's much less painful. Still something to consider. Great entry :D

Very cool concept, with nice sounds and cute music playing on the background. It gets really challenging to survive on the third level, and it gets even more harder and harder with every new level, thx to powerups for helping me completing the last level. It was fun and very challenging to play!

That was a fun experience- unique gameplay and original design. Very enjoyable. I beat the game- the hardest level was the one with the 3 big guns and you top right- I was in a pretty long standoff with the two below, and was reliant on powerups to win.

The long standoffs kind of took the fun out of it- where you are pretty evenly matched, and you are stuck pressing on the wall with the same force- but I noticed that the powerups started coming more regularly after a while, and that was helpful.

I think you can take this further- maybe with different bullet types- or some immovable walls mixed in - and different size move-able walls etc. overall it was a great game and a strong entry. Nice work!

Really well put together. Story and mechanics were up there with the best but for me sounds and graphics were not up to par. But all in all game was really good kept me going until the end! Bit more polish and this is a winner.

Fantastic. This is definitely the most fun game that I've played so far--fast-paced and interesting mechanics. Well done.

I'd definitely play more levels if you end up expanding it in the future.

Wow, where do I start? I think this is one of the more unique entries I've played yet.

It is very high concept and I love how the conceptualized race for space in an overpopulated world played into the one room theme.

Game play wise this is an interesting and experimental mechanic I haven't seen anywhere else.

The atmosphere was great and the use of minimalist graphics actually plays into the whole "you are just a face in a crowd, a 1 or a 0" aesthetic of play.

The narrative stuff between levels is great-- and the central conceit here (that a detachment from the normal human condition occured because of this new way of reproducing) is absurd in a wonderful way. Maybe I'm reading too much into this but I think it kind of implies that the act of sex keeps a modern society in tact which is great.


Its more interesting and artistic than it is fun at the moment.

Suggestions: I know this would be alot harder to manage but I would love to see non quadrilateral based shaped (hexagons, pentagons, etc..)

Very unique idea, so far the most innovative game. Only thing I noticed was that the music got kinda annoying after some time. Other than that I can say the player gets involved pretty quickly which is due to the addictive and strategic gameplay. Pretty polished too and hopefully your wife gets better soon!

Good stuff! I liked the premise very much ("This seems a pretty plausible future," I was thinking until the tanks rolled up!). The mechanics also worked well, with an impressive amount of new content as the levels progressed.

Nice idea and realization. I like the mechanics and the story even if it's a pretty strange one ^^

The only complains would be the lack of IA to make the game challenging but I know it's a compo entry and the time is limited and running out very fast.

"Solution: One room. One Human" - LOL. Loved the dialogue in this one. Also, definitely one of the more interesting takes on the theme - using it as a core mechanic instead of just artificially confining a game to a single room. Nice job :)

Nice theme-related concept with great execution. It was really fun to play, I found it really addictive, the player immediatly understand what to do and you really nailed the difficulty curve. I also liked the level design and its diversity. Graphics are simple, but combined with the really nice music, it creates a unique atmosphere.
