Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

MEEPLE MAdNESS

Meeple Madness a wacky turn based game where you must hide from the other meeple at all cost, utilizing all of the tools available to you in the map.

Controls: Mouse to choose a path, arrows to rotate the camera.

Pillars: Rise and fall each turn.
Buttons: Activates a Random affect that can be good or bad.
Teleport Pad: Teleports you to a random point on the map.
TrapDoors: A risk! They could fall beneath you and provide your meeple with a bad case of premature death.
Bear Trap: This will cause you to miss a turn. Is it worth the risk?

Survive for as long as you can, the only thing stopping the other meeple from getting you is your intelligence.

Also the main menu is fun!

Interesting idea for a game, LOVE the menu screen with the dudes running around. Ran into a few issues with it freezing up and needing a restart at random times.

The design raises good childhood memories and combines nicely with the background music.
With some kind more of a story around it could be something great for children. Maybe animals on a farm?

Wow I really like the concept! :D
It becomes difficult at about 5 ennemies though ;) mays some extra features to help you escape the ennemies, such as powers with cooldown or something would be a great add :)

Overall a pretty fun game, but fairly buggy, especially the enemy AI. The enemies saw me about four times but couldn't manage to navigate to me, despite their being a very obvious path. Overall pretty fun but also pretty flawed.

Great work! Really impressive for such a short time frame. It's a clever, original idea, and giving some traps/bonuses really helps give the gameplay some goals. Well done!

A fun little game with a really nice atmosphere! The AI is as bright as a well cooked potato, but somehow that felt right in this game, there just isn't place for intelligent predators here. The only thing I didn't really like is that the pillars change randomly without any indication where they will be next. But with the relaxed AI that didn't matter too much in the end.

Nice game! Music is pretty relaxing, concept are very cool, graphics are nicely done, but i think speeding up those guys would make it way more fun to play.

really nice use of the theme. the walking effect of the meeples was great. game was hard because the enemies had more steps than you, hard to outrun them. nice game.
