When I hold down the mouse button my view freezes but the mouse doesn't move, it seemed to jitter a little bit the first time but after that, nothing.
Haha, Of all the things in the galaxy I could pet, I wasn't expecting that. Neat game.
Cute! I was a bit confused about only being able to pet one animal though, do more spawn in when you have petted the first one enough?
Wow that was a whole lot of fun getting to pet that space alien creature! A+ :)
@NotExplosive: Holding down the mouse button should stop your movement, it should then allow you to move the hand with the mouse. Try going out in the open (don't be near any walls or creatures). Then move your mouse up and to the left (sometimes it can go offscreen on the bottom/right). As well use W/S to move it in/out of the screen.
If you're still having troubles, mind telling me what platform you're running it on?
@Birke: To pet more animals: Once you pet an animal enough (in the case of the first animal, you have to pet both its head and body to make it happy), the door you came through will re-open. Then you can leave the petting zoo. If you start again, there'll be a different animal.
Sound effects are absolutely hilarious and make this totally worth the play. xD
Wow, didn't expect that... haha! No, i'm not a singer actually, or a smoker. Those sound effects were amazing!
If this game had more than one galactic creature to pet it would be a 10/10 game
This was weird and I love it!
I had to pet the first animal very long to open the door, the others took only a couple of seconds. Audio was very good, especially the audio of the first one haha
Nice job!
To see other galactic animals, you have to pet the animals enough until the door opens. The first animal you have to pet both its head and belly to make it happy enough to open the door (that's why it takes longer than the others).
The sounds were great! The "ending" was also pretty funny, although I had to turn my sound up to hear what was being said because it was a lot quieter than the other sounds
Top notch entry. At the start i nearly fell of my chair as the intro yell was bit too loud. It was nice making weird galactic things happy.
I touched a thing! Cool integration of the theme and definitely an original idea!
The sound design is really what makes it though.
More like this!
Ah, voiced sound effects, always nice :-)
I suggest reducing the time you 'need' to pet the first animal, I almost gave up.
Got a bit creepy there at the end(?) with the [spoiler]
invisible mumbling animal(?)
Okeym I didn't get anything... but your homemade SFX made me laugh so much :D
Cute! And those sound effects are extra amazing when you think of who made them and how.
The sounds perfectly matched the petting. Cute game, yet kind of misses the goal.
I think the galactic pet really enjoyed my sweet and sensual caressing. -Tweedle
This was probably the weirdest and funniest game I've seen so far
That was certainly an interesting one, haha! The intro audio was a bit obnoxious the first time around, but the multiple "intro" screens and other sound effects were pretty hilarious.
In the room without an animal, I was kind of expecting that you had to progress by petting the room itself, and was a bit disappointed when I couldn't figure out if there was any way to progress.
Was there a reason for the second floating hand outside the room in space btw?
@Sean: My idea for the final room is that you're the one who is now the animal to be pet, trapped inside this room. It's really interesting to see how other people interpret (my dad had the same idea as you with petting the walls, and then tried petting himself). In case you didn't stick around long enough, the level will end eventually (just timer based). I was originally planning on having other ways to re-open the door (such as moving the animal onto a button) but decided due to time constraints and also to focus more on petting, I'd just make everything progress by petting except the last room. As for the floating hand, I wanted to add more stuff outside and just decided to re-use that model. Didn't think anyone would look at it hard enough to realize it was your hand!
I agree about the intro audio, wish I had at least turned the volume down on that one.
I spent way to much time petting my strange blue bloop ball, I coudnt stop myself the sounds it made tickled me!
Hey, I liked your game it was actually fun. You can improve the audio and the graphics at some point but overall not bad! And please go and try out my game!
Hey, I have made a .exe file out of the game! Mabey you can try my game now!
Very neat game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/hB0a6F4gCIk

Amusing! The sounds were right on point.
Oh, and regarding our entry - You CAN use the mouse to aim, but you have to pause the game to enable the feature. Try using enter or escape on the keyboard!
